Is High Sanction some kind of solar sailing thing? This reminds me of surfers hitting the beach when a hurricane is approaching.

From what I can figure out High Sanction is a holiday celebrated in the Free Worlds League, but beyond that I can't tell you anything. I don't have my copy of Handbook: House Marik with me.

High Sanction
Taking place every six years on Prato to coincide with the regular flares of that planet’s star, High Sanction is part religious ceremony and part star-watching experience. Many attendees dress in white linen robes and walk in a procession from the capital, Aigle, to the summit of Mount Nayes. There they wait, many in quiet meditation while others sing and tell stories, for the flare to take place. Raucous partying accompanies the radiant event that turns night to day across the planet for upwards of an hour.

Hmm. That sounds very interesting. Is it too late to book a JumpShip to this... Prato? Granted, it's quite a few jumps from Skye to that part of the League, but it would probably be worth it for such a spectacle. Assuming my FedCom passport is still good in the League. Hard to keep up with who's in charge.

Not to nitpik... really... but shouldn't it be "participants" not "participates"?

Break out the sunblock, the cooler full of beer and chow, and beat feet to the closest beach. It's get a super tan time!
