Hmm, I normally only screenshot in game, but I play mechwarrior so much I might look into taking some vids. I have been using steam overlay to take and manage screenshots since NDA was lifted, but can be buggy and I think might add some lag or crashes.

Thanks for the heads up on how to remove the HUD too

The minimum, you make in a trial mech is 60,000 cbills/match for a loss in which you do nothing, do not spot and do not inflict any damage. 30 matches like this is 1.8 million cbills which is just about enough for a light mech. If you actually play, spot, do damage and occasionally win it will take less than 30 matches.

I'd love to participate in this, but for some reason MWO doesn't play well with FRAPS.

Start FRAPS after you start MWO, and don't start filming until you can see the countdown screen, stop filiming before you exit to the Mechlab. Sticking to that I rarely get issues.

Well I do not know what your specs are, but I found MSI afterburner to work quite well.
