I don't know if it was a string of bad luck but ever since they announced Open Beta I have had terrible lag* and seen quite a few bugs.

This is also in the announcement forum, and it is a sign of good judgement that gives me optimism. And... did the Beta forums disappear? Or is my phone browser bugged?

now more ingredients added to the game so it can be called a open beta and deserve the name 'open beta'

Even if it's only like a few weeks from next Tuesday... so as to fix these current issues. If some extra tech like DHS and ES and the MM revisions get some closed beta time as well that would be good.

As someone who is not in the beta but has been following the game, I am now pretty pissed....

There are lots of other free games out there I can give my attention to instead...

Lord Orion there have been plenty of opportunities to get a beta code through third parties and as a non paying player i am sure your are on the top of their list of people the need to apease lol. seriously though go the MWO facebook feed and they have posted 2 beta code offers which they may still have available and by the way you get instant beta access if you pay for one of the packages available

I think this was a wise decision to hold it back due to the product not being completely ready for the mass market i must say though that, for me anyways, the game has been really stable since last nights patch. hats off to the pgi team for working so diligently to clear up the bugs

The last patch they did updated the Cry Engine and something they did caused games to become laggy and FPS to crash. They did a hotfix last night that fixed it. That's what they meant by the build being stable and playable. I think they are going to wait to see if the 16th's patch does anything to the game or breaks anything. If it doesn't we should see open beta sometime before the week is out or at possibly latest the 23rd.

I have the closed beta, yet I am unable to install it keeps giving me an error that the .exe needs to close to finish with setup already submitted a ticket with the appropriate log file, is there anything anyone else can advise on how to get it to work?

Sorry to say, but even if you did get into the beta, it was not playable 5 days before it was to go open. What would send more people packin' a game that you can't play yet or a game that you can't play now?

Also +3 to awesome for using "shortsighted" when angry about not rushing a product to market.
