The CC Cataphract. I would like to swap the MASC for more armor... but the extra speed has been very useful on t and the four MPLs, ER PPC and LB-10x.... such a great mix of weapons.

The Davion one is junk. No focus and the Ultra 5 just isn't a good weapon for the mass an space it takes. Then I only like the Ultra 20... just don't like burning through ammo that fast with so little to show for it.

Caesar, then Cataphract

Not trying to sway this poll, but I am honestly shocked the Excalibur is in first.

I think its because most people are not very familiar with any of them...and Excalibur has the cooler name.

Excalibur is in no way a cooler name than Caesar.
I'd spray paint VENI VIDI VICI on the side of mine.

How is the Excalibur winning? Do people not realize how it ONLY has 1 Gauss Rifle and an LRM-20? I don't care if it goes 86.4km/h. Heavy mechs need to slug their opponents with an array of weapons that hurt like hell, not run fast with a limited pool of weapons! That's what medium mechs are for.

To be quite honest, i'd be happy with any of those mechs except the excalibur. But i must say, out of all of them, the Cataphract really hits the spot.

Speed is nice but when all you have is long range weaponry the extra speed seems... superfluous?

So let's go... with... Caesar and the Cataphract right behind.

Might want some thicker rear armor, though.

And, we need the
Guillotine

so I can have people on vent/TS/mumble constantly mispronouncing the 'mech! and it's cool too.

The list is incomplete, hence why I'm adding the Thor to it.
Really now, you can't seriously forget to invite a Clan Mech to the party.
How dare you :P

Guillotine.

The Excalibur is certainly carrying the most usable armament mix, but its too ammunition dependant.

The Guillotine is well rounded out with a heavy bias to energy, some longrange capability with its large laser (wich requires no lead and is excellent for killing small maneuverable targets at distance) and carries also enough punch to take matters into its own hands if engaged up close, plus it has jets. You can DFA with this one if all else fails.

The Cataphract shares the same problem as the Excalibur, tho it still has a few lasers to fall back on, however its performance will be severely limited once the LBX10 runs dry. For the time it has ammo its probably the greatest threat of the four. This mech also has jets! Without its LBX ammo however, it becomes a fluke.

And the Johnson... if its Gauss runs dry you are down to one ER PPC for your standoff engagements, bringing it down to the performance of a Panther light mech, but it will be a big slow target without jets. And seriously... rear mounted pulse lasers?

Surely.. the Guillotine is old, loose cable and technical problems... but what if it WORKS?

While I really like the Cataphract, we already have many designs featuring autocannons but not a single Gauss rifle or PPC, so I'd vote vor the Caesar :P

You might want to correct the spelling error in that poll, Warhammer is spelled incorrectly.

Ceasr for the better weapons payload, though I would change pulse lasers to regular lasers, and add jets or bigger engine

Lot of Lostech on those mechs - interesting if they made it into the game. Could mean ER PPCs and Ultra ACs will be more common than we thought.

From this choice of green vegetables.. the least tasteless is the Caesar, with the right animation, and ditching the hand "pistol". Second up is the okra of the Guillotine (Which looks like an overblown well fed version of an elemental).
