The Davion one is junk. No focus and the Ultra 5 just isn't a good weapon for the mass an space it takes. Then I only like the Ultra 20... just don't like burning through ammo that fast with so little to show for it.

I'd spray paint VENI VIDI VICI on the side of mine.

To be quite honest, i'd be happy with any of those mechs except the excalibur. But i must say, out of all of them, the Cataphract really hits the spot.

So let's go... with... Caesar and the Cataphract right behind.

Might want some thicker rear armor, though.
And, we need the
Guillotine
so I can have people on vent/TS/mumble constantly mispronouncing the 'mech! and it's cool too.

Really now, you can't seriously forget to invite a Clan Mech to the party.
How dare you

The Excalibur is certainly carrying the most usable armament mix, but its too ammunition dependant.
The Guillotine is well rounded out with a heavy bias to energy, some longrange capability with its large laser (wich requires no lead and is excellent for killing small maneuverable targets at distance) and carries also enough punch to take matters into its own hands if engaged up close, plus it has jets. You can DFA with this one if all else fails.
The Cataphract shares the same problem as the Excalibur, tho it still has a few lasers to fall back on, however its performance will be severely limited once the LBX10 runs dry. For the time it has ammo its probably the greatest threat of the four. This mech also has jets! Without its LBX ammo however, it becomes a fluke.
And the Johnson... if its Gauss runs dry you are down to one ER PPC for your standoff engagements, bringing it down to the performance of a Panther light mech, but it will be a big slow target without jets. And seriously... rear mounted pulse lasers?
Surely.. the Guillotine is old, loose cable and technical problems... but what if it WORKS?
