Are they actually going to take candidates from this thread or just wait a bit and see who they want to give the tools to?

We have no idea. This thread is not official, and I highly doubt that it would only take a simple nomination of oneself to be picked.

More likely they'll pick whoever they want to pick after a suitable period of observing potential candidates that exhibit civil behavior, lack of clear bias in any one direction, and a level-headed posting attitude.

I'd probably be out at the level-headed bit. I've been feeling a little zesty and excitable today.

They shoud just get some interns. They aren't just decorative cigar holders;

They can be turned into community managers and pay them with candy and/or soap!

Let me apologize in advance for being a massive pain in the ***. I'll happily knock it off to make people's lives easier. Just ask.

You are not a pain, I loved your original thread, level headed yet humorous discussion and posting is most welcome!

Bryan, congrats and thank you to yourself and your associates for finally bringing this long-awaited game to the fore

I am Canadian, in Toronto, with a LOT of spare time on my hands, I would eager, diligent and subjective in performing Admin/Mod duties at MWOMERCS, I hope you consider my application.

Hey, if you need a Moderator, I'll volunteer. I'm a cop in real life, so I know how to enforce the rules.

Holy ****, that is the most in-depth set of forum rules I've seen in a while. Should keep the forum nice and mature if these are enforced properly.

Some of those "guidelines" could easily be merged, there is no need to have multiple entries on sexual content nor the language used on the boards. Keep it simple and readable for all ages :)

I wouldn't mind being a moderator, although I have absolutely no experience with the ban-stick :D lol.

Moderators is not the ones to usurp the ban hammer, that should only be reserved an Administrator. Mods are there to assure that the boards does not become cluttered or elsewhere impenetrable. If a Mod thinks a members behaviour needs to be addressed this needs dealt with between the Mod and Admin, preferable in a Moderators Board to keep tracking easier.

Clearly the only objective way to do it is have all potential recruits marathon the old battletech cartoon featuring Adam Steiner.

Whoever deals with it best is the new moderator.

Can I request that we get Mods sooner, rather than later? Some of the hotter burning topics on the boards will need them, and there have been more of them of late.

Agreed, some moderation would be nice right about now.

Yup!
I think we have enough whining "anti-clan threads" now. It is getting ridiculous and totally embarrassed. Moreover, it is mediocre and doesn't make fun. People were verbally attacked, just because they want to play as a clanner! This is an impertinence and has nothing to do with shared anticipation.

If you haven't read the "How We Say Hello in BattleTech" thread, yet, it would behoove you to do so. Clanners were verbally attacked, I believe, not people, and rightly so, tee-hee. :)

Agreed Glare. We need it badly ASAP.
