Hey I was dissecting the trainer again last night and could help noticing that when firing lasers they appeared to have an ammo counter as well. I didn't a search on the forums and didn't find any relevant topics. So I was wondering if this is been discussed at length or if it is just the way lasers are moving in the Mechwarrior universe. Thanks!

Lasers are ammo based now?!

Do flamers use ammo(Fuel)? I was curious about that one. It's listed under energy weapons but I could have sworn one dev comment said everything but lasers and ppc need ammo.

Depends on the type of Flamer, afaik.
Regular BattleMech Flamers are linked to the fusion reactor, and do not require ammo.
Vehicle Flamers have no such luxury and require fuel tanks (20 shots per ton).
The only type of Laser that requires ammo are Clan Hell's Horses' Chemical Lasers, which are introduced in 3059.
And those are mostly developed for conventional vehicles so they got lasers without requiring fusion engines or power amplifiers.
