Some time ago I stated I would possibly model Bishop´s Warhammer and take it to 3D. Instead I decided to go the quicker way and do a concept with the original line art, as this is something I want to learn and focus on more. This is still a work in progress and his original line art is shining through. You can see that a great part of the Mech is just roughly colored in, while on the left part I started to render some details. Everything is quite loose and rough still, and I don´t know how far I´ll go with this. Anyway, it´s really fun and one of my all time favorite Mechs. Comments and critiques welcome.
Hope you like it.

Looks a little too close to the Awesome. The head and shoulders give me that impression. I love the art though, hope you don't mind the comment.

Wow, well done!

Honestly, the design looks better cleaned up than I thought it would. It honestly was not one of my "faves" for various reasons, hence my re-re-design (which I still prefer). But you pulled out the "industrial" Age of War feel I was trying for on it nicely.

I rather can't wait to see you finished product. But if this is indicative, feel free to use ANY of my designs.

I'll be watching to see where this goes, but I really like what I see so far.

Cheers!

which I never finished cuz I went this route instead.....

which I would also love to see what you would make out of it.

Working on cleaning up and finishing my Victor, and of course I gotz a Marauder, Panther, Thunderbolt, etc for ya to play with if you find yourself with extra free time to burn!

Again, loving what I am seeing and really appreciate that you liked my work enough to want to play with it yourself. That's one of the bigger compliments I could have gotten.

The second one does not seem to be so appealing to me, could be the pose though. There are plenty of cool designs of yours, I´ll gladly pick another one soon.

Hmmmm.... gotta say, either your English is poor, or your mech recognition.

If you meant "that IS awesome", on behalf of me and GraySho, tyvm.
If you meant "that is an (AWS-8Q) AWESOME..."
well then, actually THIS:

is an Awesome.

THAT (above) is a re-design.fan concept to re-see the UnSeen WHM-6R WARHAMMER.

Whether or not it is to your taste, now that is entirely subjective.

After some nasty blue screens I got my PC running again, and I´ve worked some more on it. Last chance to bring in some suggestions before I´ll finish this.

Well, with all that lovely white, it would seem lacking if there wasn't a red smear and a hapless Cappie infantryman under one foot........

I really like this version. It looks like it is related to the Zeus, but the guns look far more Warhammer-like than the OP's. I also like how very mech-anical this version looks. The squared off cowling on the barrels is a nice touch, along with the centered headlights above the head. Not sure if that's what they are, but they look like they fit! Perhaps this design is re-seen enough to help avoid too much fodder for the lawyers, too!

Those are actually part of the radar dome, kinda based off the Aegis cruisers radar. the lights are directly above the medium lasers in the side torsos

Looks good, but somthing that heavy shoul really be sinking into the snow.

Maybe cover it up to the ankles and then have footprints/furrow leading to it's current position

Addressed and fixed somehow. The footprints are slightly suggested.

I´ll call this done for now. I´m surprised no one suggested a color scheme or the like, so I decided to make it a Kell Hound. The Capellan did not make it into the scene, sorry.

With the permission of Bishop I´ll post this also on DeviantArt (giving credit of course). Here´s the full resolution.

Co-Credit dude. I made the mech, you did the rest, and quite nicely, I might add. I would defintely like a link to a full resolution copy to download for my own library. Very well done, and feel free to modify and or extrapolate on any of my other designs, which are close to 40 mechs now, and growing.

I am doing concept pieces for the developers over at MechCommander Omnitech, and pretty excited to see what comes from it. I know they will be low poly (2000 max) models, due to the constraints of the game itself (MechCommander 2 IS old school, lol), but it is really exciting and flattering to have people base work off your stuff. Thank you!

Is there some link to see your work for them? 2000 polygons is not too bad for a rts game, I´ve done lowpoly mechs with much less and they looked quite nice with a decent texture (see this).
