You know, the idea of MWO having a youtube channel would be close to what has been suggested. The videos could showcase the highlights of some battles with "Duncan Fisher" being an announcer as if the battles were being performed Iin the Arena. Each video would benefit from 2 or more video points of view, 1 or 2 from spectator mode, another 1 or 2 from inside a cockpit.

Players could edit the videos themselves with no voice track, leaving that for the play by play and submit them to a dropbox for whomever accepts the challenge. 30-90 seconds depending on the content. Longer if appropriate. HD of course. This way, it really would not matter if it is 3049 in the game, it would just be the "Wide World of Mech Combat".

1) Duncan Fisher might well still be competing in Solaris VII matches in MWO's timeframe,

2) Our fave voice-actor sadly doesn't have the gaming savvy to be a competitor; he's even admitted he doesn't always 'grok' the nitty-gritty details of scripted stuff he did up for MW4:Mercs.

...but he could be the VOICE of a competitor.

If (and given that we're not even into closed beta yet, that's still a pretty strong 'If') PGI implements Arena combat, they might have a dev step into the arena at their own convenience and take the role of "Duncan Fisher, Arena MechWarrior"...and use pre-programmed 'taunts' written up in advance and recorded by Mr. Ledoux.

Again, where do I send my C-Bills to make this happen? /Willow-Rosenberg's-serious-face

I do hope i haven't crossed any lines, but Duncan gets a nod as TOG's replacement voice and personality for a 'Mech AI in the ff section (see THE CHRONICLES OF VEGA’S HAVOKS - START). btw, if it is a problem, I can always mod it to say it "sounds" like DF.
