That is a main theme of Battletech, and I have to say nothing makes you feel more like a Mech then squishing lots of tiny people, or vehicles or turrets. That's when you know from an Immersion Perspective "I am in the giant robot and you are not." It would make it so there was an actual reason to get that AC/5 or Machine gun besides idiocy.

Also, who can forget- Infernos. Infernos are the best. They have the State Puff Marshmellow Man, we got Inferno SRMs.

I mean they will have Artillery and Naval Bombardment they said, why not Infantry?

If Clans come and there is no Battle Armor I am gonna be so freakin' furious.

Edited: Why does "Commander Class" get Artillery Bombardment- Naval Bombardment AND Aerospace Strafe, and Assault Class only gets Vision Modes?

I say if they get Artillery and Aerospace, we get infantry and Battle Armor. I mean an Aerospace Strafe is no joke.

The role warfare roles are not exclusive- you can take multiple skills from multiple roles.

The commander role as listed in the dev blog was renamed 'support', and I would expect some of the command functions moved elsewhere.

They have no plans, however, for combined arms or battle armor. The selling point here is the mechs, not the lore as a whole- people who want BA and aero units and all those other things are a minority.
