Dude... Get a Yellowjacket gunship, toss out the Gauss and and toss on 10 RL20's... It runs err... flys up on somethings rear, shoots ALL of them since vehicles don't generate heat for missile or ballistic weapons for some reason, and flys off... Or better yet, get 4 Yellow Jackets all geared up the same and pack hunt. I'm pretty sure 800 missiles flying at one target will bring it down, with authority. And if it didn't, it'd atleast look pretty.

So this is what I came up with.
A heavily converted Mars Assault Vehicle, basically using the hull as a base.

CG, this thing resembles the Shadowsword (I think you play WH40k, for no particular reason I can actually think of now that I play it) except their are two artillery cannons in the casemate instead of one big laser. It has a small remote turret on the roof of the casemate mounting dual light machine guns for light air defence and 360 degree infantry coverage. The side sponsons lack the laser cannon turret, instead holding 2 GPMGs and an Improved Heavy Medium laser for close support against infantry and light vehicles, while providing enough power to be able to threaten mechs and heavy vehicles. It has a crew of 7, commander, driver, 2 sponson gunners, and three artillery crew, and is fully environmentally sealed. It mounts 9.5t of clan spec Ferro-Fibrous armour.
It carries only two tonnes of sniper (The arty cannons) ammunition, one tonne for the MGs and half a tonne for the LMGs. It uses a 60t armoured fighting trailer to carry additional munitions:

The trailer has it's own fusion engine and crew of 4, a driver, gunner, and two loaders (Working primarily to load the Scourge). It sports a turret mounted LRM20 to support the main cannons on the scourge and to interdict any heavy units that close to engage the vehicle. The turret sports a further two improved heavy medium lasers to further threaten any enemy mech or vehicle that closes in on the unit, and a further two LMGs that can be manned by any of the crewmen in a pintle mount for keeping away enemy vehicles. It also mounts a second AMS on the rear arc. It carries a further 3.5 tonnes of ammo for the Anti Missile Systems and machine guns, and ten tonnes of combined ammunition for the snipers, including specialist rounds. It carries only 5 tonnes of clan Ferro-Fibrous armour.

So I have no idea how useful (if at all) this thing would be in this RP, but overall I think it'd be a very effective tube artillery system in the event of a siege (As defence or offence). Given the slow moving nature of the lines in question, it's slow speed of 54.5 kph would be enough. It doesn't have huge armour, but it can protect itself enough to deter anything closing to engage it. It's ECM and AMS allow it to hide and stay still and protect a supporting force under it's umbrella, and the supporting force + the siege lines would be stop most interdictors. If it is engaged, it can try to flee under the cover of it's own LRM20 and cause a lot of hurt with it's IHMLas. It's main threat that it has to worry about is infantry and air units, which the multiple MGs and LRM20 can deal with/threaten. So yeah. Imma just leave this beast here, see what people think, even if I sincerely doubt it'll get in :D

EDIT:

But it's one shot! Then it's gone! That thing is now useless!
And they don't? I wish I'd known that before I built this Scourge thing...

"Yeah sure," Dan muttered. Only fair I suppose. Plus, gets it done faster. He hefted one of the heavier looking crates, hid a wheeze. "What? Oh, yeah, sorry. Yeah, the boss finally came to some sort of arrangement with the Rainbow Stables, part of the contract says we need to use their hangars. Free storage, and I think free parts for repairs. Definitely cheaper anyway. Jack didn't really tell me a whole lot before he stormed out onto the grounds and caused that mess. I think you still have a few left around, that's Rick's Archer in the back there, he's been slowly putting it back together for a while now. Tech gone pro, props to him. Well, as soon as he gets his 'mech running. There's a few others around, uhhh...a Panther, Clint and an Enforcer for sure, used to be a Commando...Don't worry, the place is pretty good. They'll give you credit for a month or two if you fall behind, but after that they'll come down on you like a tonne of rocks, but hey, who can blame them? Anyone who can't make their bay payments from their fights probably just isn't what it takes on Solaris after all...Sorry, I'm tired and rambling, what was your name? I'm Dan Abnett." He thumped down the crate and held out his hand.

Just a side note on the the above Rogue, with a 2 / 3 you aren't traveling at 54.5 kph your traveling at 32 kph

Also you got me curious now, so I gotta play with the skunk too :)

Hey, that's still almost three times the speed of the aforementioned Maus (and to think it was made by Porsche)

D'oh! You're absolutely correct Oni. I had that entirely backwards.
Hmmm...debating changing some things around now to get the extra tonnage. I think if I lose the two internal tonnes of ammo and a few other bits and bobs I could afford the bigger engine...but I couldn't afford to put one in the trailer too if I did that (And if the trailer has no engine, it'll drop me to that speed anyway...)

Overview:
Built on the chassis of an old Behemoth, the turret was removed and replaced
with the turret and targeting assembly of the old 80 ton Partisan tank, a
superpower in anti-aircraft deterrence. New folding technologies have allowed
for the increase in nearly double the standard armors of old, and the weapons
array has been shifted to accomidate the lighter Ac/5 over two powerful
FlameTech Inferno Plasma Rifles. Vehicle flamers have been added to the sides
and rear for infantry deterrence and a bulldozer scoop rounds out the soldier
crushing potential. Defensively the Oni boasts both a ECM and Anti-Missle
system housed at the rear sides of the turret, for a limited protection from
missle locks, while the TAG system helps identify prospective targets to any
nearby allies.

that problem is that most canon vehicles do not use environmental sealing. so we have to make our own.

I am going to go make a couple lighter tanks just in case we need them. also, flamers are not a big deal unless they add oxygen to the atmosphere. 100% hydrogen will not burn until it starts a fusion reaction. Oxygen is required for anything to burn. so realize, if your mech loses sealing in a section, the hot metal plus the oxygen, plus the hydrogen. Will make a massive explosion. possibly destroying the entire mech.

True. I'm not a fan of one shots, but in this case they unload and fly off. Please follow my thinking on TT BT economics.

So Yellow Jacket (gauss version and I imagine the RL version would be cheaper. ) is 1,120,000 C-bills X 4 = 4,480,000

The PLG-3Z Pillager is 22,290,000 C-bills... (That's a lot of cheese!) with 307 points of armor. Those Yellow Jackets have the potential to do 800 points of damage, which I'm pretty sure could crack open a dropship and utterly destroy the Pillager in one round. Well that's if everything hit... so going with the law of averages only 20 out of the 40 RL20's would hit, and then with only half the actual missiles hitting, so you're looking at 200 points of damage. Which is very respectable. Now those 200 points get grouped into 5 point clusters or 40 rolls. Odds are you're miss-err rockets are going to be chewing into that Assault's vitals somewhere, and if not, it's easy pickings for anything else you are fielding... Say a Snake, Enforcer, or Centurion, basicly anything toting an LB10Xac.

As for the HS thing it only seems to work for ballistics and missiles, my homie and I noticed that one day. After that he began fielding nothing but conventional units heavily modified like the Yellow Jacket example, though he never used it, He always used UAC20s on them...

*shivers*

Oh, and like always if anyone can find a rule stating me wrong, go ahead and let me know, you're not going to ruin my evil plans hurt my feelings.

Wait, heat sinks only work for ballistics and missiles? So they don't dissipate heat from energy weapons?

No no, vice versa. The "vehicles don't need heat sinks" think only works for ballistics and missiles. So, you don't need to mount heat sinks to dissipate heat from ballistic or missile weapons, but you do need to for energy weapons.
