Nah vehicles don't need heatsinks for ballistics or missiles, but do for energy weapons... I know goofy.

And remember if you have a fusion engine you get 10 HS... but to be honest I'm not sure if thay applies to vehicles mounting fusions.

all my vehicles use fusion engines. Mainly because most of them are for this thread. ICE vehicles can't operate in places where you would need environmental sealing.

Well that makes sense... and you could put a PPC (or two) on it and not have to worry about heat sinks.

not to mention the fact that fusion engines are lighter than ICE ones.

Heavy flamer. Hydrogen atmosphere. Maybe...maybe not such a great plan.

Great thing about battle armor - modular hardpoints. I can just take the flamer off it whenever we need to go outside the dome and then put it back on for ops inside or if we venture off-world.

Soooo honeys, i´m back ! And i have to say : Flamer (needs oxygen) + Dat Atmosphere = Roasty Toasty Brother B)

Other thing ... Why only so heavy ? Ok, i´m driving a 85Ton fat-*ss assault mech, but why are you all around the 100ton mark ? :) not that i don´t like it, but ... why ? :D

Now back to our setting and the Story :

I have WAAAY too much spare time at school, so i pulled together the girls and we worked on some basic story.

This is what we came up with :

We are sent to the Planet Skyfall, to be more precise to the Boreas Research-and Exploration Base to inspect the recent radio silence. For 6 Months there was no contact with the station and now we have to inverstigate. We are dropped with the supplies directly in front of the Base at the foothills of Tartarus Mountains.

I´ll post pics of the station lateron, i gave up paint and will do it via pen :D

I made a 50 ton hovercraft if you want. The problem is that no one feels like using a scout tank. because they don;t have massive weapons. plus environmental sealing is a pain. 10% of a vehicle's weight is taken up by it.

I can play a lighter tank if we end up running all assaults. considering that assault tanks are nearly as uncommon as mechs, you might want to impose limits on unit weights here. So 1-2 mechs, and if you pilot your omen, then the other one shouldn't be another assault or a heavy. maybe 1-2 assault tanks. and no more than one heavy tank, then a mix of lighter support units.

Actually mine weighs in at 150t in total once you add the trailer. I just wanted two snipers on a single platform B)
If it didn't need to be environmentally sealed, the extra ten tonnes would be going straight to armour, I'll tell you that for free.

EDIT: And I'm not definitely using it, or even planning to (Though I kind of want to). I'm not even sure I'll be joining. If I were to join and use the Scourge though, CG would need to approve it.

well I seemed to have started a trend of people using armor werks... also, I don't see why you couldn't use it. though I would question why a recon company (which is what I think we would end up being) has dedicated artillery.

Oh hey, is there still a free spot left?
This sounds promising and I haven't played a good RP in ages.

we haven't started yet. so most likely there is free spots. you may want to make your own tank however, Mechs are rare in the dark ages.
