"Kill them all," the rat said in a voice as deep and expansive as the stars. Jane had to admit she agreed, and took another bite of her apple.

Methos took his brew with him over to the Jukebox. "There's no work. Mechs are out of action. Apparently, Paul keeps changing the designs, and Russ... well Russ is being Russ.. and he just sits in his damn chair all day, yelling this and that, drinking his cocktail... one of those with an umbrella in it..."

Methos selects his song and lights up a cigar.

Methos stirred beneath the torn covers. His sweat combined with the cool air whistling through the cracks in the window threatened to give him pneumonia. But for now he was warm, and restless. He woke up screaming.

"Methos, Sir, are you okay?" asked his personal assistant, as he crashed through the door.

Methos grabbed the boy by the collar pulling him close. The cringed look on the boy's face, formed by a mix of fear, and repulsion at the smell.

Dry whiskey breath floated into the boy's face, "Jenners... so many Jenners..."

"Sir, should I get the doc?"

"Don't you hear me boy!" he grunted, tightening his grip around the young man's neck, "Jenners!"
