The bartender pushing back his long brown duster and hooks his thumbs into his trouser pockets. "Welcome to Old Serenity. Of course we'll take you in. We've got something that smells like chow on that converted heatsink so go on and get a bowl before it comes to and crawls away. After a meal, you can use the comms booth at the end of the bar and get yourself a room."
The bartender reaches under the bar and set down a tall shotglass. Producing a bottle of pale blue liquor, he pours four fingers in and raises a smaller bottle that seems to be filled with quicksilver. "You ever had a PPC before?" The bartender smiles as he drops a dollop into the glass. The opaque fluids begin to turn sluggishly as they mix. Suddenly, a flash lights inside the glass. "When you see it arc across the top, Knock it back, friend."

Well, Gent, no. But as she tends to be deadlier than your average assassin and filled with more feminine wiles than half a dozen felid sapiens doing more than keeping an eye on her is poor for one's health. And she does have some authority behind her this time (however 'that' happened) so we'll just have to play nice and close all the doors. Even that one what won't seal up.

"Much obliged, Cap'n. I'll do just that. I'll pull my weight 'round here, you have my word. A PPC, ya say? Never tried one m'self. Don't mind if I do..." Maelorn slides the glass toward himself, gingerly, as if expecting some sort of volatile reaction at the slightest movement. The mysterious liquid suddenly arcs, as predicted by the bartender. "Well, here goes." Maelorn thrusts back his head, pours the contents of the glass down his throat, and returns the empty vessel to the bar. He cringes for a moment, his face contorted in a mixture of enjoyment and pain. "Ahhh. Well that tingles all the way down, doesn't it? I think I might just take anoth...." Maelorns face suddenly turns pale, and his eyes narrow slightly. "On second thought, where's the head?" Without waiting for a response, Maelorn turns on one heel, mutters "Be right back" and quickly strides down the ramp, and dissapears out of sight.

'Ow the 'ell did that guy get in? Eh, if 'e's not with 'er, 'e's probably lookin' to join up. Welcome to the Browncoats mate! Be on the lookout for a smokin' hot redhead stalkin' these parts, she's far more dangerous than she looks!

Also, 'ave we not got anythin' to board that door up? 'Ell, I'd even donate my bunk if it stopped 'er messin' with us again.

Umbrias sighed and lifted the empty glass from the counter, wiping it out with an old rag. "You gotta watch out for that discharge down the gullet. Everyone returns their first ppc." He stops, eyes fixed on a distant point. Raising one hand he singles out a lone patron, "Who's the leggy brunette wearing glasses? Is she with someone?" Leaning down he lowers hi voice. "Gent, tell me that's your sister..."
