The classic Warhammer is 70 tons. The IIC is 85, and Clan tech.

And, if they ever put up poles including the classic 14 mechs, most, if not all, would win and everyone knows it.

The 80 tonner that is the obvious pick is the Awesome, which has 3 PPC's. I would vote for the Zeus and Victor before I'd vote for the awesome. I'm holding out for the Warhammer, too, though. The MWO developers will probably hold off bringing out the unseen mechs until the release, but I bet we WILL see them. This is the biggest, most public forum on the subject and very few people will let it go. If someone wants to sue, they're going to have a hard time proving it and will have to put up with thousands of terrorists, er, I mean Battletech fans who know better!

Why isn't the Warhammer?
One of the most used designs at this time throughout the IS. Powerfull, capable and all that.

I always wondered. Even been one of the two protagonists in the awesome 2009 Mechwarrior trailer.
Yet we got the Dragon and the Hunchback.... ^_^

because its aimed at 80 t mechs, not 70t for one thing

6T's heat issues weren't keeping it out of production, it was a bad interaction between the PPC's particle field inhibiter and the mech's fusion engine. The 6T was put into mass production when that issue was resolved. However, 6T's aren't as plentiful as the older 6S because both were phased out in 3048 in favor of the 9S model. The longer production run of the 6S makes them far more common. (The 6S was in production from 2898, the 6T from 3026. The 6S was in production 128 years longer.)

I didn't realize they ever got the PPC field inhibitor issue ironed out until the -9S came out - thanks for the info!

Zeus is only good looking. Victor is the only jumping assault mech. Thug is not in 3025, so I don't even consider it existing.

I'm assuming that one mech of every tonnage will be released to start with with others brought in later cos the 80 ton slot has a fair few candidates. I used to like messin around in a charger for one thing.

There is no choice but the Zeus - it is the most iconic BattleMech after Atlas and TimberWolf

Open ground -Zues

City fight -Victor

Brawl- Thug

I voted for the Victor (I can see it's not going to help...) because it's something different. It's the first assault mech we've seen proposed for the game that's not an artillery battery on legs. Just because assault mechs do the job well doesn't mean it should be the only role available.

Zeus FTW...

I really want the Zeus-X that is pictured on the max-tech cover, I mean it just drips of BAD A**...

I have to go with the Zeus. I like the Thug and all but it was designed to replace the Warhammer, and I'm not ok with that.

While I also like the Zeus, the Victor wins for me in this poll.

Jump capable with a great loadout, and it's the name of the son of the ruler of my chosen House.

Picked the winner this time around :( ... although I'd like to see all of these in MWO rather sooner than later ...

Voted Victor. Assault with JJs? Mmmmm. It's like a jump-capable mini-atlas.

Voted Victor for its particular suitability for urban combat and it is a draw between Thug and Victor for second place now ... the Zeus seems to play in a different league considering popularity ...

Zeus, for it's abismal failing as a mech in TT, is still an icon, and should be treated with that regard. I dont think you can have an Inner Sphere focused game without it

God of lightning, though those jump jets on the Victor make it a hard choice!
