Wut iz clan?

Honestly tho, other than the weapon-tech they've managed to retain since their exodus, there's no overall benefit to being in the clans other than to enjoy the year or 2 of superiority before the IS get's the idea to join together to defeat the invading clans. By then, IS counterpart weapon-tech has made their way back into the fold. For sure, there's the "I wanna win" mentality that's generated by the immediate advantages provided by the superior tech, but I must admit, I'd rather have a challenge than a semi-quick and decisive victory.

Rather than taking the time to debate/dream about/cry about the possibility of being able to partake in the invasion as a clan member, build up the established Houses and merc units at the onset of release. Any way you look at it, until the devs give us a clearer picture of the timeline, your participation at the beginning is far more important than desire to desert those you would otherwise call brothers-in-arms for the first shot at "better" equipment.

Hey ******* in case you didn't know, you have to fight for your position in the clans, its not given, and another given is that our tech is better only when in the hands of the right warriors, which is because *ahem* instead of constantly waging total war on each other, like you, and reducing your own tech, we actually tried to develop better tech, which we did, so don't be whining about how this happened, and its not fair, you brought this on yourself

That would be ideal, haha. Bit before their time though.

Bit short-lived too.
Also, I'm not sure if Clan Wolf is really a proper clan anymore after that, since they were pretty much absorbed by clan jade turkey (effectively ending their status as a clan). Same goes for clan burrock, really.

And also realize that unlike you we also have the zellbrigen to abide by in our rules of warfare, this is why our warriors are able to sweep through the inner sphere, through our superior training

Vlad Ward created a new Clan Wolf while brutally murdering the Jade Falcon leadership.

Might makes right, it's a new Clan now, otherwise prepare to get Vlad's boot in your face.

The other clans should really be made available. Not just the prime clans or well noted ones I should say. Although many had been abosorbed in to many other class or destoryed in the inner sphere invasion there are still many that exsist. Also, I would like to note that Clan Ghost Bear and Clan Nova Cat are basically inner sphere anyways so to include them would be a joke. So to answer the question at hand I did pick Clan Nova Cat due to the fact inner sphere is not to my liking and that would be the lowest I would go in that direction. However, in the Clan aspect I originally played the table top as Steel Viper and will remain Steel Viper to the end.

Where to start? The Clans are better PERIOD. It is not only the tech but the training. The IS never "got the idea" at all. They were basically begged/forced by Jamie Wolf & most realized they did not really have a choice. Uh no the IS could not come up with $#!* because they were too busy slaughtering each other in the Succession Wars. It was Jamie who gave them tech & mech deisgns that were just a little under Clan level but far superior to what the IS had. Do no flatter yourself surat. You want a challenge? Try looking at 100 enemies with your 100 then saying what is the least number of people we can use to fight that 100? Clanners VOLUNTARILY go into battle with lesser numbers.

We have no CHOICE but to start out as IS. Brothers-in-arms my @*&! As soon as I can slip that shackle I am gone surat.
XX/XX/12 - The 6 invading clans have been unlocked! you may now proceed to............ (whoosh click click click)

Oh they are. Read the novel. The Falcons tried to twist the rules but Vlad was having none of it.

I would go Steel Viper simply because I was one of the charter members of CSV in the Mechwarrior:Hardcore versions of the game.

Surat, you cannot place the Mighty Ghost Bear in the same spot as the abjured traitors Nova Cats. Ghost Bear was following the wisdom of Keresnky as how else can we protect the inner sphere than if we have everything relocated, it cut back on massive transporting between the homeworlds and our territory in the IS.

The great Kerensky set us on a path to reform and protect the Star League. Our existence spurred the Inner Sphere to create a new Star League, and so that half of our mission was complete.

If you insist on warping his dream for your Clan's personal interests, instead of warding the new Star League like He envisioned, then that is your error. For our part, the Great Cat will continue on in our mission and protect the Star League as Kerensky intended.

New Star League, it held together about as well as it did while Richard Cameron was becoming of age, and while the Usurper was in his demented mind in power until the great father showed him the same kindness he showed the Cameron family.

It was no star league, but a haphazard band of armies. It dissolved fairly soon afterwards, where is your Star League now? How many planets do you Nova Cats control? Your loaner worlds pale in comparison. Your visions led you astray, sadly you will never admit your folly.

The ultimate collapse may have happened, but it does nothing to tarnish our honor or self-respect through our choices at the time. For better or worse, we upheld our function. We defended the Star League from external threat to the best of our capabilities.
