Wouldn't a vampire's regeneration force out all the bionic/cybernetic implants? Posted Image

Makes me also wonder about chick characters with breast implants becoming vampires, what would happen?

I STILL want to know what would happen.

maybe the implants would act as blood reservoirs in case of lack of prey, so size would be a status indicator because of how much blood was stored.

I seriously doubt that. I'm thinking that the body's freaky-deaky vampire regeneration would expel the implants as well as any things not 'natural' to the body.

But on a side note, we're really chatting about this on the MechWarrior forums? I think it's time to get back on topic.

well you have to realize, all the gals who would have breast implants would commit suicide if they popped out, so... yeah...

yes i do actually. every gal my age that i know who has implants (about 6 that i am fairly certain of) would probably call 911 if one deflated.

consider this a TOG bump... though perhaps it would have been better if it had followed a more topic related set. on the other hand, "bump" does get old... who do we bother to get this pinned?

garth was originally the one to pin it, but niko snow would be the best option to get repinned however.

I wonder, if you're in an RP that is supposed to be RPing different superheroes, like people with super strength and stuff, does making a good character in that kind of an RP, become easier, or harder?

i would guess easier, because your character would be more average, and you could arguably fight things that are more powerful than you without making it seem so melodramatic.

Great job, 100% accuracy rating!

Personally I don't find it too much more difficult, I just come up with my character and then say 'but he has x power.' Once I have that I examine how that could affect someone's personality. For example, if I have a happy-go-lucky, super naive kid who's super kind and charming and he develops the ability to read minds, how does that affect him? Is the reading an 'always on' or does he need to decide to do it? And so on. It just adds another level of complexity when shaping the character.

the biggest thing you have to realize that if you make a superhero, that unless they are batman style superhero, where they are really just better than a normal human, but don't get crazy powerss as their body is trained to metahuman levels, you have to significantly increase the durability of their body.

for example lets say my hero has a punch that can level a mountain but his body is as tough as a normal human (extreme example), i have him use that punch on something. whatever i punch may or may not be dead, but the characters arm would literally splinter from the impact.

I once played in a Hero's Unlimited game where my dudes strength was literally off the chart. In fact the whole party had ridiculous characters, but we all had 'Achilles Heels' AKA critical flaws that would seriously hamper us. For my guy, who was a Demi-god gone superhero (In Rifts you can do crazy things like that.) his speed was permanently a 3. Now if you're not familiar with Rifts or any of the Palladium Games, the base stat for speed is 5. Also I had that bane of all the Greek Gods a unnaturally strong sex drive with any being with a physical beauty of 15 or higher. It lead to quite a bit of low brow humor as my character was pathetically trying to chase down and mount a mountain goat. Ahh... good times. Like I've said before, balance, you need it. If your character is badass he's gonna have to fight some badass people. If you're Superman, you're a lunkhead just like Superman.

It's a good question GW, I've just been told that I'm 'Really good at making a gimped character and making them the best in the party anyway, and vice versa.' So I was just saying what I do.

Well I had an idea pop up (was really, REALLY bored) where this character could either summon a dragon to fight alongside him, or take the dragon's form himself. Anyhow the problem was that his was what most would consider mentally insane, suffering from Dual Personality Syndrome. So, he can keep that in check when he's normal, but the problem is, that if he summons the dragon, the dragon will fight alongside him, however, he can't stop it from causing collateral damage. And if he takes the form himself, he begins to loose control over himself, as he is fighting for control of his mind, and against enemies in the physical reality he's in. His second personality, what he can keep in check while he's normal, is more feral, short fused, and at times, cold. I was wondering how that character would stand up as "good quality character" to someone else. Also take note that he refuses to try and cure his DPS, because it won't let him. So stats would probably be on a scale of one to ten (1 being lowest or weakest, 10 being highest or strongest)...
Normal form
Strength: 4
Speed: 4
Agility: 3
Intelligence: 6
Charm: 6
Special ability: DPS (lowers CHAR by two points and raises INT by two points)

Dragon form/Dragon
Strength: 8
Speed: 8
Agility: 9
Intelligence: 7 or 3 depending on roll
Charm: 4 or 1 depending on roll
Special ability: Fly, breath fire, dragon armor and claws

So I was wondering, how would this character stack up on a quality scale? I'm kinda trying to figure how to make him work, by either toning down somethings, adding another weakness, stuff like that.

Oh yes, yes she was. She had the most shinny horns and her fur was matted is such a wonderful way...

The multiple personality is difficult to pull off correctly. But if done right can be a BLAST!!! I played an EOD specialist once with duo personalities. The thing that made him click was whenever he was around devices of mass destruction i.e. explosives, laser rifles/plasma pistols. When he was around such things he became (In his mind anyways.) an action hero. Whenever he wasn't around the explosives and whatnot he was shy, aloof, and squeegee normal guy. Fun character to play. When he changed his stats didn't change or anything like that, he'd just act totally different.

easiest way to do the dual personalities that way would be you made some deal with some dragon spirit thingamajig to be its host in exchange for you being able to use its power. however it attempts to fight for dominance over your body, and while you can hold onto your sanity when normal (at least for now), the more you draw on its power the more dominance it has.
