and welcome to the best house in the innersphere.
Read over the threads under House Liao, you will get to know a lot about the character of the people who pledge their services
to the Jade Throne in Sians Celestial City.
As for BT manuals concerning House Liao. Several of the manuals written over the last decade or two, contain snippets about all of the houses, so there are plenty to get your interests spiked.
2 of my favourites are the recent ones concerning the Jihad series...so give them a looksie.

Any questions about unit organization and tactics? I might be able to pitch in a few tidbits of info on that front.

Thanks, I will keep you in mind if I have any questions. Nice to see I am not a Servitor and have been granted Citizenship so easily
You are a mechwarrior. The elite of all elite in the most elite of the houses.
What more could you do to get your citizenship?
Nice to see a new mechwarrior standing alongside us. Welcome.

out how many people will be fighting within the GMT (UK) time zone?
Welcome, fellow citizen.
I am sure our ways will cross sometime and fate will allow us to fight alongside each other, an event I look forward to in anticipation.
(OOC: I'm sitting at GMT +1, so that's quite likely to happen.

Stop trolling, Metro, or we might have to report you to a forum moderator! Sheesh, next you will claim that the CCAF actually generally puts up a fight instead of toppling over at the mere sight of FedRats.

....
Just kidding
In all seriousness, welcome to the forum. It doesn't matter what house you play for as long as you enjoy yourself. The Capellan Solution books are very good. They deal with the St. Ives compact and tensions thereof.
Best of luck to you!

It should be pointed out it took three houses joined together to do that. Heck thats something we're proud of. How would your House survive an all out by 3 others?

Hi, Thorn
Thanks for the novel suggestions I shall get on them as soon as I can.
Pretty much anything by Loren Coleman is worth a read by a Capellan fan. However, if you want to understand the situation at the time of MW:O, the Warrior Trilogy by Michael Stackpole is a must. (Spoilier: It doesn't end well for us.)

Don't forget that the state was de facto led by a madwoman (Romano), legally ruled by a broken-down madman (Max), and riddled with traitors (Candace, Justian Xiang) as well as worthless incompetents (Pavel Ridzik) who were also often traitors.

Yeah, Aris Sung is a badass. There's another novel that has Sun Tzu as a POV character, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it...

Reports from the field indicate that in those years, Fed Suns got even dumbier, so you shouldn't have problems sending their mechs to mech heaven even without your older mechs, which "disappeared".

I never had a problem with House Davion or House Steiner before - that is, never had a problem legging their mechs. The most balanced, I feel, and my favourite old mech was the Marauder. I loved that old girl. Admittedly the heat was an issue back before double heat sinks, but with those chicken legs of hers in a lake, it was PPC heaven.

I'm waiting for an offer from McCarron's Armoured Cavalry, 1st Company. If I get the offer, and like it, I might forget about the Red Lancers.

I too have decided to fight for the CCAF. While at first I joined the FRR for its "underdog" lore status, I realised that isn't necessarily the case once the game launches.
So here I am, I hope to make friends with other CCAF pilots and wish us all the best

As Woodstock was a Capellan world until the 4th succession war.
I will be playing an Ex Capellan citizen who grew up under the heel of a foreign invading government.
This will drive me to form my own Merc company that will in its own small way fight to further the interests of the Capellan confederation.
Merc company name (only an idea)
Jin Yao Guai (Metal Demons in Mandarin)

Free and it gives a good introduction to the BT universe and its makeup. Should prove useful to new and veteran pilots alike.
