Tue. Oct 16, 3049: Fallen into disfavor over bad press of “apparent flaws”, GM has begun aggressive positive press program for Blackjack.

Not sure how you improve press on a mech that already has one of the better names possible. Blackjack it's a winning mech. or.. 21, only with the blackjack. This stuff writes itself.

I'm saying Blackjack will be the next medium for months.
The Trebuchet is a smaller Catapult and the Blackjack is a smaller JagerMech.
Jumping medium (we don't have one), medium direct fire support (we don't have)... Not to mention it has many, many cool variants and it's very common in all the 30th century.

Those that say the Blackjack is a bad mech, wouldn't know a good mech if it shot them in the ***. That much maligned battlemech was key to the defense of Xhosa VII against a greater number of Jenners, thanks to the work of one NAIS cadet.

I, personally, would absolutely love a Blackjack... but how many people would malign another "Slow Medium?"

Bad that it's slow, but at least it jumps and have other unique properties. We have limited number of 3050 non-unseen and non-ComStar. 'mechs, after all. I guess, would we see Blackjacks with TWIN GAUSS RIFLES in the field (30 tons w/o ammo in a 45-ton 'mech)?

I personally have always loved the Blackjack. It is a great mech, even if in TT the AC/2 are underpowered.
In MWO though, that pair of AC/2s can really kick tail.
Remember, in all the fluff, the Blackjack was never so much a failure, as a victim of bad press giving it an unfair bad reputation.
I think it was a fantastic choice for Omnimech conversion too.
Not everything has to be gaussed. In this case, the arm weapons of a Blackjack bring a great deal to the table even in the stock variants (BJ-1, BJ-2, BJ-3).

Here's hoping this is the next Medium Mech in our stables.
