Hey everyone

as you all may or may not know I was on the look out last week for volunteers to shoot a short film on light mechs... Well, I can tell you that we succeeded and as i said in my original topic would be a lot of fun... which it was!

First I will tease you with some screenshots, then at the bottom... will be the video.

But first I would like to state... In real life I take my film making very seriously... and I am about to make it more serious over Christmas, investing a lot of money into my website, equipment and other programs. It wasn't my intention to include a "gaming section" however... I think I might change my mind. But I can't do it on my own, this website will be vast and have already recruited other people to admin other sections.

So I am on the lookout for a person or persons... that are willing to form a small team, to play, review and film games just like MWO.

Now on to the good stuff shall we?

Enjoy.

Very good, I like those screenshots, they look pretty awesome :)
Did you turn the HUD off and zoom in so that you could not see the cockpit?

Haha, you used the Wilhelm Scream like I suggested. That was funny as hell.

I got to work today & noticed the video on my YouTube feed and I gotta say it made my day seeing the finished version. it's near enough a thing of beauty, even though you cut my "amazing" voice acting off near the end (although I was kinda expecting that as I'm not nearly Scottish enough for those lines!).

All in all good fun and I can't wait for the next one!

Glad you liked it Conjoiner! I didn't cut all your voice acting out lol.

Im thinking of doing a Heavy vs Light mech battle but with a few twists... and when you go on to say you can't match 8 heavies with 8 lights... well, I have a way around that :)

Very Cool man...as a machinima producer I was very curious as how one would approach making vids like this. Cheers, looked like it was some serious coordinating with that. Liked the glow transitions and the half speed. Very cool!

To be honest....Im a noob. I have done probably 2 mini vids, 2 full length and 5 private server promo's. Majority were World of Warcraft based [God what I wouldnt give for software like wow machinima tool in this game]. My last serious project, I was dabbling in particles and really getting (finally! the learning curve was long and hard) into after effects. T.b.h. my skills come in my actual filming. I guess you could say I am a better camera guy than an editor. However, on the other side of that is audio. My skills in audio exceed everything I know about video editing.
Curious...that wouldnt by chance be vegas your using is it?

I see, i made a few WoW movies back in the day. Yes After Affects is very difficult to learn, I only know basics but at the moment have never really needed it...
But yeah I might have a use for a guy like you.
Yes Sony Vegas Pro 10.0 HD
