Its not even released yet.... thats not cool seriously not cool, beta means beta...., allot of players wont touch it till release or close, cutting of pre-orders whilst still in open beta..... that's going to loose you allot of customers from the get go, potentially me included like most people I know I was waiting for a final release date planning on pre-ordering if I beta'd atall it'd just be to get ahead in time for release, ending pre-order mean you have released it you just arent being honest about it, its not just a matter of how good a game is its how the company treats potential customers that decides weather you play a game nowdays, it could hardly be a worse start. and if its ended WHY is the advert still in game.... remove it, if your pre-order program is ended its no longer beta either, you cant have it both ways, you'll have to explain to everyone waiting for it to be released why they cant pre-order the game to.

They didn't get rid of that ad yet, which I hope they do soon, because you're not the first person I've seen ask this since the offer ended a couple days ago.

They did mention that new deals would come along eventually, but for now all you can do is purchase MC.

Can someone then remove the Founder Package links from the client?

I was just invited to the Beta yesterday, clicked the Founder Package link, was directed to the forums and spent some time searching to find out I couldn't purchase it. Very frustrating.

Would have tried to get in the beta sooner if I knew it existed, and would have purchased the package then.

It's not really a pre-order, it was a Founder's Package, to raise money to help the game get made, I think.

It was actually supposed to end in August but it got extended, probably more than once, and just finally ended a couple days ago.

You're complaining about not being able to preorder a beta, and if you scroll down you'll see posts from people complaining that the founder's program was a scam and who would be dumb enough to buy into a beta.

Can't make everyone happy i guess : /

I think there are som misunderstandings going around here

The founders packs was not a pre-order, its was more like a kickstarter investment.
These founders packs were only available for a limited time, and ended 14th October.
I dont understand these advertisements about the founders pack you talk about either, as I dont see them and have not seen them since the sale ended.
Are you saying that the advertisement are still showing up for some people?

There is no pre-order for this game, because you dont have to buy the game.
The game is free, you dont even have to buy the client and there are no subscription required, you can download and play the FULL GAME without ever paying anything.

As others have said, the game is still in Closed beta, though Open beta is apparently right around the corner.
It was initially set for 16th October, but because the community voiced some serious and very valid concerns about the state of the game, it was pushed back.
No date for Open Beta/Release have been announced as far as I know.

Hope this helps.

Yes everyone who entered beta sees them, I only signed up yesterday and free to play does not mean you cant usually pre-order and get some goodies, as it says on my top post you click buy and it takes you to buy currency rather then founders pack, which is why I made the post, infact with nothing to gain from pre-order the chances I'll become a customer rather than a freeloader has gone down considerably I'm happy to buy pre-order but why pay anything without similar advantages, and i'm founder in more games then I can shake a stick at they were all pre-order, if your going to call it founder then it counts as pre-order, hell Planetside 2 has a founders pack i already bought for when its release comes with exlusive decals, currency and a "founders title", hint hint.

As soon as you login to the game, you're staring at a giant ad for the founders packs.

The founders program is over? Well that's nice. So it ended on 14th? I got my beta approved at 16th so thanks a ton for giving me the option. I bet there has been a way to claim it somewhere else, but I have totally missed it.

Still seeing the ads for the standard, elite and legendary when I start the launcher. I have to say that I am a bit sad over this since I'm totally freakin' loving this game, but the trial mechs are a bit crappy. I would have gone for the elite or actually even for the legendary, but... I can't. Which isn't nice.

Now starts the serious cry part of this message.
I'll grind for couple of days with the trial mechs, decide that they are no good and leave the game. Possibly even forget that this ever was there. I know... cry cry cry me a river. Anyways... you guys keep up the good work. The game looks nice. I'm loving it. Well.. I was loving it.

Devs have mentioned they plan on introducing new promotional deals but haven't given any hints as to what or when, but the founder's program is done.

The game was slated for Open Beta yesterday but community concern convinced them to push it back at least a week. You just happened to fall in that void between the Founders program and the open beta launch. You can't blame developers for listening to the community and for you being late to the party.

Yes it does. For me it gives three options to buy. Standard for 30 $, Elite for 60 $ and Legendary for 120 $. The links behind this just takes me to the MC shop so only credits are offered.
Makes a grown man sad to see that he can't spend money on a game he likes. =/

No.
The founders packs, as the name implies, was a means for the players to help fund the game.
It will never be available again.

First off dude... it's still Closed Beta... the Open Beta was pushed back due to a minor bug they didn't want running amok when it came to Open Beta... You have only been a member of the MWO community for a day... if you followed this game like thousands of others, you'd know there are many social media outlets they use to advertise the Founder's Program, including Beta keys and much more offers.

Personally... being only a member here for a day, I think there's no point to complain about something you have little information about. Us in the MWO community like to help others, but it's hard when rants like that get tossed on here... makes me sad for the Devs to know there's players out there that act like this. As for the Devs not updating things as routinely as in the past... they are buried up to their necks in fixing things for Open Beta very very soon... so... have patience and cool your jets :P

Note: This game is @!#$ing awesome... you'd be wise to give it faith

Do you guys get mad at a store (like, say, Best Buy) when you walk into a store and find out that the thing you just bought was on sale last week? Do you whine to the clerk or manager that it is unfair?

i guess someone already told you by now...but the founders program was not a preorder...you can´t preorder a free product....

it was a kickstarter funding program, kind of...with the exception you got something in return and not just a "thanks, maybe we will start developing something with your money"...

the founders program has been expanded for over a month, it should have ended in september already...

Wait what? You missed the giant founders banner on the website that's been there since June 19th? 5 months man.
