hahaha YES. This is exactly how I want autocannons to be represented in the new mw. I always pictured AC2/AC5s as something like 30mm bushmaster cannons, whereas AC10's were like ~67mm battleship deckguns, and AC20s were like 120mm tank guns. Machineguns can be like .50 cals.

i never liked the single shot approach to representing ACs. I like me some oversized repeating cannon.

it's practically a primitive BT machinegun... you know, if you don't use the ridiculously short tabletop ranges
and ignore that BT machienguns take 15 minutes! to go through half a ton of ammo, where as an a10's GAU 8 goes through half a ton of ammo in like 20 seconds or so.

Not that I would object to having a GAU-8 on a mech. No sir.

nah, rotary cannons should be akin to rotary AC's from btech. The vid I posted above should be representative of regular AC's, and revolver cannons (single barrel guns with revolving chambers for increased ROF):
should represent Ultra AC's

Sounds fine enough to me! Sucks that I can't find a video of the old sounding ACs for a comparison, all I can find are Mguns.
As for sounds that are 15 years old, for some of us old school people, it's the sound of happiness. That's all.

Now, the larger the caliber, the slower the RoF. so an A\C2 fires like a 20mm cannon, and the A\C20 like
an Abrams gun on autoload.
all this talk of gatling guns and GUA 8's? in btech terms; those are Rotary A\C's people...
as for Ultra A\Cs; make it two shots per trigger pull, and double rate with a long pull, but
keep in the chance of a jam! (make jams fixable, but leave them in!)
