And the 3E is better than you think. Solid speed, good sniper, heavy armor. Perfect command 'Mech. (Also does killer charges which are in the game...alas not its uber-powerful punches & kicks).

Because ppl don't give it respect, is why it get ignored till its too late.

The Banshee does not really become viable until the 3050 update to the 5S. Favorite 100 tonner is the Atlas but of the thones listed I have to go with the IMP.

Hmm the Devastator served me well in the Mechcommander 1 game, but I surely would take the Imp, I am clanner and I love the versitale weapons, aswell as the Pulselaser

But the Devastor is not from the TRO 3050, though it is mentioned in the Scenarios of the Big MAC.

I like autocannons so i go with the Annihilator.

Annihilator is boring and annoying.
Devastator and Kingcrab are nice. Kingcrab has this unique look and I really like the weapon setup of the Devastator.

This Banshee Variant is one of the last Mechs I'd pilot.

Devastator is a great mech i like all the configs even the lowtech. Good range and a good mix of ballistics and energy and no missiles(me no likey missiles).

Devastator FTW!!! Long Range sniping is the upper hand!!!
Annihilator, it´s pesky and lethal at short or medium ranges, but with long range weapons and he is overmatched.

Interestingly enough, the Banshee is said to be a contemporary of the Mackie. The Mackie is the first true battlemech built way back in 2439, the Banshee is only six years younger biult in 2445. Showing up to a fight in a BNC-3E is like showing up at the battle of Kursk in a chariot.

Normally I would pilot a heavy and for Assault I would go Dire Wolf being a Clanner and all. However, for IS, the Devastator is my favorite assault, even more than the Atlas... (Both were designed by General Kerensky)
