I want to know what the paint-job on the Awesome is supposed to be?

The only golden and orange unit in the FWL is the Silver Hawks (my favorite unit), and none of them have an arm as the insignia they have a "silver falcon, wings and talons outstretched, set against a large blue-black disc"

So, if the Awesome is from the Silver Hawks then why unlike every other concept art mech is their insignia changed?

Thoughts?

Also, the gun-arm looks very standard and not Awesome like this one.

WOoooooo.. .... Is that Awesome compensating for something?! If that's also a PPC like the 2 Torso ones, why does it look different from the other two?
Unless its a Gauss Rifle, But still, sheesh. Someone has overcompensating issues.

Cheers

The right arm on that picture looks very out of place, must be gauss rifle or something

I don't think that's right, here's an example.

http://www.camospecs...ure.asp?ID=3939 That's the Silver Hawks.
This is the Fisrt Regulan Hussars. http://www.camospecs...ure.asp?ID=1798
However it appears the insignia is the 1st Hussars, so I'm probaly wrong, but the Awesome looks more gold than yellow.

To me it looks more like "Units from Amity and Concord use gold with orange highlights".

Wow, okay... you win, I guess it totally isn't orange-brown with off yellow highlights. It's off yellow with orange-brown highlights!

You're right, the paint scheme is that of the 1st Regulan Hussars, aka the Steel Hussars.

I think you're reading in to the concept art wayyy too much. Further more, why does it have to be an existing unit?

The paint job reminds me of the Awesome from the Mechcommander art.

No need to be sarcastic about it I was wrong and you were right, but since you're talking about off-yellow you know that isn't gold right? :)

Because every other mech so far shown has come from an existing unit?

Totally 1st Regulan. The arm insignia is theirs as well as the color scheme.

It looks like a mix between Coffee Stain yellow, Newborn Diaper yellow, and Labrador yellow. Perfect, I think that's how its stated in the canon...
