Based on Bryan's commenst that the Atlas is 18 m tall, and the Commando is a shrimp. I studied the in game footage and came up with this "best guess" for relative 'mech sizes based on the Concept Art.

**special thanks to OhGilPin for the 'mechs sans backgrounds.

I was going to say the Awesome looks too tall. But I think it might be the Atlas which is too small here, like Aegis said. Catapult could do with a weee bit of shrinkage too, but it's no that noticeable on it.

And they're in some sort of stride or pose, and not standing straight like they would in a diagram or mugshot, so you really can't tell.

Edit: Hartsblade beat me to the punch. :)

I'd agree. The Atlas looks about the same size as the Awesome, even tho its 20 tons ( or 25% of the total tonnage of the Awesome) Bigger. They both seem about the same height and girth in the line up.

I'd say make the Atlas 10% bigger.

Cheers.

Nice mock up. I still prefer to just stand next to those mechs, and just see the sheer size of them, or look down on all the others. :)

Yeah, what happened to us gettin an Orthographic image of each released Mech? An Ortho would give you a straight on, standing position for a better size comparison.

Ortho's would be nice to work with :)

hmmm, having a closer look at it. If you moved the Atlas up a bit, and made the front leg/left leg the base of the mech, then it should be about right. If I'm reading it correctly the right leg is bent, and behind, and would therefore appear smaller.

Basically, the toes of the left leg should be on the line.

remember that the Technical Readout stated that the Atlas is not the tallest mech around (maybe Battlemaster was the tallest of the 3025 era?). I handled both Atlas and Awesome lead original miniatures and, in facts, the Atlas was THICK!

The only thing that looks off is the Atlas, which I think should be about 10% taller or so.

That aside, nice mockup. Gotta love visuals!
