Everyone talking about age thought I would chime in. Usually at 22 I'm at the older edge in gaming. Most of FPS games I play I tend to be older than most.
In World of Warcraft and Starcraft I was on average with most people I played with.
But I always had a soft spot for Mechwarrior. I remember walking through the store and seeing Mechwarrior games but knew my computer was too old to play them(MW3) until I finally bought MW4 with some Christmas money just to again realize my computer was too bad(family was always 8 years behind on computers) I remember running a win95 computer till 2004. I also didn't get and XP computer till 07 But luckily I had an uncle that had a computer to run it and a joystick so he installed it and let me play. I didn't get much time in but i learned a little about setting up mechs and stuff didn't get much in the story since I would usually only have 30min at a time which would be twice a month if I was lucky.
Also I didn't own a Xbox so I didn't play Mechassault except when a older friend of mine showed it to me(which was funny because I tore him apart).
So now that I saved up and bought a okay computer I was ecstatic when I found out a new Mechwarrior game was on the horizon.
All I can say is some of you might have a longer and better story about this game but mine is just remembering the days of telling my mom I DON'T WANT TO GO YET.
So Comparatively to the rest of you I might be younger and less experienced in the Lore and the all that is Battletech but I've got history with the game. A history I didn't and haven't forgotten cause really when a game sticks with you its just sticks.
On a side note my uncle didn't have internet so I never played online.
