I have to say that I am glad to read this forum, many sane and mature enough people are here, comparing this to mmo-champion is like comparing university to kindergarden. Reminds me of the old days on Entropia Universe forum back in 2003-2007.

Time for average age poll, to find out the truth. Facebook fanpage says that average age is 25-34, lets see.

Lots of "how old are you" threads already... but being as I'm not hung up on my age (and know I'm not the oldest hitting the forums here... ) lol...

Recommend you change the options to '18 and less' to match '41 and more' because when someone asks how old I am, generally I reply 'more than you'.

Also I believe there are quite a few age polls already around

I just turned 49, and I too played Battletech as a table top. I had all the Mechwarrior PC games, and even had one for the SNES. I have been looking for years to find out when the newest installment of Mechwarrior was coming. Pretty happy to be able to play this again, even if it is really limited.

Been playing Battletech since the original tabletop.. (actually I started by trying to play Citytech until I realised it was an expansion.)
Have played all versions of the Mechwarrior series released on the PC.

On the subject of age and gaming I have an interesting anecdote. I play this game WW2online and a long time ago met this guy over comms. He asked everyone if any of us were pilots in real life (we were in a squadron in the game)? I said "no but i flew a plane with my father a few times" and asked him in return if he was. He said "not anymore but i flew P51 mustangs over korea" we all went silent and then we knew why this guy was one of the best online pilots with the lowest k /d ratios we ever saw. I dont know if he is still around but it was nice talking with him.

41+? Really? Man, you're being harsh. I don't know that I've ever been in the top age category ever.

Oh well, I can drink while I play, I pay all my own bills, and no one tells me that it's bedtime because it's a school night, so there's that.
