Not sure what the culprit is for people complaining about a drop in performance.

My game performs notably better and I have a middle of the line PC.

DHS dont work as they should. This is the bug right now. It does not change at all when switching between SHS and DHS.

I used a jenner with 12 SHS. after this i switched them to DHS. The heat was exact the same as it was earlier. The double dont work right now as it should.

I need to do more tests to find out a bit more.

Move the 2 HS out of the engine into the regular crit slots and you will notice a difference.

i also think the dhs are not working right or need a bit more explanation of what you are thinking alone the lines of how they work. they do seem to help some at times, but not as much as expected.

Went from a 1.52 heat efficiency build with single heat sinks to a 1.44 heat efficiency installing double heat sinks. Not a huge difference and yet I was shutting down from alpha strikes almost every single time with the double heat sinks. There is something wrong and filed ticket...

I believe what they said was there would be no more wipes AFTER open beta. After Open Beta goes live, we're playing with what we've got.

They actually said both things. They said that there would be no more resets untill OB, unless there was a major issue that needed to be addressed, and that there would be no wipes AT ALL once OB starts.

The mech armor bug seems to be the reason for the wipe, it was costing far too many people too much money, so I suppose it qualified as a "major issue".

Um, looks like the graphics lag is still around. Only looks smooth, when I look away from the batte. Boy I'm must be a coward, just can't watch this destruction.

So, did ECM not make it in, or is it live at this time?

Looks like a lot of great updates. I look forward to seeing how this plays out.

is ECM available or is it still going to be LRM wars?

when is there going to be a fix for low frame rate? Forest being the worst map frame rate still falls to 10fps and lower.

Do another version of Caustic Valey lets say at night. best map so far.

The new mech build system needs serious work. Causing people to save as they go from one mech lab tab to another forces people to buy items they may not want. When building a mech you normally want to swap things in and out and tinker. Compounding this is the fact that on the upgrade screen you need to pay EVERY time you change something. Even if you had previously bought the Es, ff, or dhs, u still pay the full cost. This needs fixed. I want to tinker and try combinations before I spend c-bills.

My user.cfg file is empty. What is the default FOV and how would I add this setting in the advent that I want to change it from the default?

new patch and still dont able to play this game ... always the same every time i try to join a battle my game crashes in the battleloading screen there is not a single match i can join .

Make sure you have enough heatsinks. It was my problem. it didnt say anything about it, i added 2 more heatsinks and i was ingame.

New heat sinks are not working. I have 15 standard heat sinks and never overheated. i have 10 dblheatsinks and i overheat in 2 shots.

But i understand this is beta. They are testing things for us to report. and read our feedback. Support them do not get mad. its closed beta.
if your not happy with whats going on then you should not be a beta tester. and wait for final release. Its hard to get things perfect. takes time, and they seem willing to do it. just give them a chance. I happy to be sitting in my Mech again. Thank you Devs and team. we are with you! if your not. don't let my Gauss hit you in the arse... =]

And if you are a True warrior. your would seek House Liao!

Hey NO Kurita Spies. we know who you are. and don't try stilts or platform shoes! And remember the Booster chair that they put in your Mech so you can see over the controls are "MADE IN CHINA" now you know why your butts always itch.. thus Itchy bon... =]

Have fun

I must agree, even though he is from that house! he seems to have some smarts. maybe an offspring from one of our warriors on the field having a little R&R.

You guys know you don't get little brownie points for saying "GREAT patch PGI you're awesome!" on a failed patch. They know they ****** up and fanboyism doesn't help them at all.

I do like the lack of knockdowns currently. Makes light mechs easier to play, especially as I frequently suffer from crippling lag. Hopefully with a slightly better implementation and (possibly) a European server knockdowns can make a triumphant return soon.

no may knock downs stay dead forever it's just a crutch for bad players and no longer has a place in the game.

Knockdowns are realistic, thats a way to keep lights in check, if u run into a wall you will be knockdown.

Knockdowns were quite buggy. There were those horrible teleporting mech issues, remember?

Expect their return once they are fixed.

I would prefer buggy knockdowns to no knockdowns, honestly, and I actually do try not to abuse them.

But I'm OK with this as a temp fix.

My thoughts exactly. Mechlab already allows players to experiment freely in the loadout screen without wasting money or doing frustrating calculations by hand. Implementing upgrades this way is just a huge step backwards. It doesn't make experimenting with different builds more expensive for players who are willing to do the calculations by hand, but makes the mechlab much more frustrating for everyone.

I can only imagine how many cbills were lost to useless FF upgrades, and the frustration of those players when they noticed they gained a whopping 1.5 tons with 14 critical slots. Do you really wish players to go through this?
