The very first one I used was for the pods, and it was Ace. Not original, but...

Real call signs aren't chosen, they are given. That being said, way back when I used to be called "Cargo". They started calling me that since I would always bring the heavy loadouts to bear.

Call sign? As I was when we Capellans were flying Jenners in GEnie, so I am today. And I do mean flying, that bug in the Activision code they left in until we pointed it out was the "how the Confederation and Combine bent House Davion over and applied sandpaper to their no-nos". Just once, though. The FedRats were getting too full of themselves. :)

Back in the early 90s, when Mechwarrior 2 was just a rumor in PC gaming magazines, I went to the VR Battletech Center at Navy Pier in Chicago. After observing one game on the monitors, I picked my callsign: "No Lock." The way the game worked, the callsign of your target appeared when you put your crosshairs on them. I racked up 6 kills in my first game and was at the top of the leaderboard. Afterwards I heard one of the other players say, "I couldn't get a lock on that Thor!"

Yeah, that was a trollish move, but I was like 13 years old.

Going back to compuserve days I have been Bruticus, Bruticus Deathreaper or MrCalcMan. I didn't play a ton of online(minus compuserve) but I have been around. I am really hoping great things happen here.

For MW2, keep in mind I was very young, I don't remember. But when MW2: Mercenaries came my callsign was "Mad Dog", simply because I thought the vulture's name was so incredibly cool.

First one I can recall was Noxious Cucumber. For the life of me I have no idea why I chose it.

well, my 1st callsign for MW was Vulture; due to that being the name for a Mech I came to change it to Omdra. (as Omdra relates to a nametag I have been using in the days when games had highescore tables with the gamer having only 3 digits to use for entry - and mine was TOD = The Omega Dragon :D )

still the guy from MW4 in 2003. weapons man because i collect weapons in the real world. FAL rifles, AK rifles, Mausers, Mosins and other good toys. nothing like a AK with a 75 rd drum to bring a smile to your face.

I saiga 12 with a 20 round drum or a 1928 with a 100 round drum!

Mine was Gambit for the longest till 3 years ago someone had in on a game so I changed to Zorob!
