Anyone remember Battletech MU*s?

Seriously, you are giving yourself way way too much credit here. Go enjoy your game, we will too, but try not to degrade the thread by some sort of post that makes it sound like the good folks that have taken the time to post care if some woman they never met, frankly don't remember, and probably will never hear from again, is concerned she might get a raving group of men harassing her in game if she cared to talk to them.
We are all about the game and hanging out with folks we met from a long time ago...not lying in wait for some internet 'goddess' to stop in and grace us with her presence.
Harsh? Yea, but I took your post to be that way and I am an old crotchety guy that simply thinks you should get over yourself and game on.

With all due respect to you as well, and the other people here. I apologize for my crankiness in my former post. I was mere y replying to the topic at hand and let my past experiences with the text based game color my responses.
Thank you, UCME, for calling me on the carpet for that one. I'll try to keep my 'crotchety' old woman from starting in with the "Back in the Day..." event again.

Don't be a stranger. We may be old and crotchety.. but we are like ants.. if we stick together, we can't hurt someone but we dang sure can swarm them and let them know we were there

Yes, I too remember the glory days. Though my view of it was almost always from the repair bays, working hard to fix whatever Anger or VP had managed to get trashed earlier that day, and making sure I had enough parts on hand without spending all our cash so Hag could buy more shiny new toys for us to break. Ah, those were the days. I was never much on the sim/Solaris sites, mainly hung out on 3050 and later 3030.
Just logged into Frontier a few days ago on a whim, and ran into JF (JayEff!!), and he told me about this project. Wow, I've been out of the loop on gaming lately. This looks fantastic. Gonna have to start cobbling together parts for a good gaming rig now - my current box couldn't even hope to scratch minimum specs. :/
Anyway, I'll be around. Those who know me know that doesn't mean I'll be active - the more life changes, the more it stays the same.
Slainte!

You mean Tene isn't still on that little craphole island in the South Pacific inspecting penguins in places best left unmentioned? My, how disappointing.

I went by "Vlad Wexlan" on 3034 II, 3056 (though I wasn't as active there), 3065/66 (where I probably spent the most time, annoying people in my Pha-C) and others that I'm having a hard time remembering (3040?).

I can understand not having LL or PPC, but having MG's... prototype with bad ammo boom. I'm waiting for the AC/10 (LB preferably) variant to come out. This first MG one might work if it has CASE, but I doubt it does....

Casy Eratl on the BTMU* circuit. Just got beta access. Been on and off since 3056, active on pretty much all the games over the years both RS & sim, coded on 2974, etc. Great to see some of the old faces, as well as vp's momz.
So far so good.

Heh heh... He called us noobs.
Are you registered on the website yet, Casy? It's in my .sig. Come hang out. Our merc unit will be operating ingame, and we'd love to have all us old bastiges in the same group. We'd love to be using some of the tactics we learned almost 20 years ago to school these kids in the fine art of gankage.
To any and all old-time MUSE/MUX players, come one and come all. Even if you don't join the unit, come hang out on the website. We'll bring you around with our charm and sophistication. *BURRRRP!*

Demi-Precentor V Kimberly Stone, Head Trainer, Sandhurst Royal Military Academy reporting.
I don't know if Kestrel/Mallard is in this thread. I see him maybe once a year or so. Actually, guess it has been a little longer than that.
Shout-out to Prince Valiant with the Black Thorns.

Wait, register where? Too lazy to read the whole topic (even though I probably should)...

Edit: Nevermind, you mean your .sig (very, very lazy if I can't read a few posts up)
