After some fiddling and cutting my armor down to nearly half, i'm lucky to make 40 thousand net gain and most games I come out in the negatives. Mean while, the Jenner goes in and makes 130 thousand and repairs for around 10 thousand. (guess based on pre-patch commando)
I know that the friend I play with has the same issue with his Gauss catapult, though to a lesser extent. He has quit playing till it becomes reasonable to play again, as have I.
As for me, I spent all my time and effort getting the most expensive mech only to make, on average, negative numbers. I feel a little bit cheated, especially when three Jenners run up behind me and ******* away because I dropped my back armor to 10 to lower the armor bill.
In the end, whats the point of buying an assault when winning still nets a negative. Realism is nice and all but sometimes it just kills the fun.
suggestion: make repair bills reasonable, perhaps hard cap them at 30 thousand. or give mechs bonus cb scaling with mech class (keeps realism) or even one cost fixes all.
[in response to Thwaite] : Not to mention most atlis are damage tanks who get up in your face with powerful close range gear and blast the medium and heavy mechs away. though admittedly my build is 2 medium lasers and 2 lrm 20 and
1 lrm 10, with a crazy amount of lrm rounds, 1260 i think. amo runs up in the 60 thousand range if i go heavy on missiles
which is exactly what im supposed to do.
