For all of us who have been around ages playing BT and MW in one form or another either way the Open Beta goes we should be at least helpful to the newbs (not noobs, nobody can help them, we tried).
A lot of players won't know the finer points of Battletech straight off - such as some weapons having minimal and maximum ranges, some missile systems are only truly effective when paired with the correct beacon etc etc etc.
There is a lot of moldy old tabletop Battletech veterans (I'm one) and early PC Mechwarriors out there who already understand these things and as an online community we should be welcoming to all newcomers - just before blowing them away with a well placed PPC shot at 500 meters

I like our community. . . I like our internal *******'!..... I like a bit unit. . . . .
When you're the last man standing and there's 7 back seat driver calling out suggestions and helpful comments or just laughing like drains at your dire predicament. These are the type of people I want sitting in the jump seat behind me, with me and long shall it stay that way!

Agreed. I've been playing since the early 90's. When I discovered MWO I was ecstatic. And I am more than willing to help some new players figure things out... before they explode of course.
