In the next few days the MWO forum will reach a new record when we hit the 80,000 members mark.
At present we only need 206 new members to hit the 80,000.

Won't be long I imagine. It's nice to see all of the old, long standing members/fans of the battletech universe come out of the woodwork to show their support for this game. Long live PGI!

Wait til the Beta comes out; there will be a spike in membership.

There will also be a significant lack of personnel in for the week where I work since we'll all be at home with posterior glaucoma. (That's a medical condition where you can't see your a$$ coming into work)

No need to make more than 1 account. It's F2P. If you get banned off 1 account, you can create an INFINITE amount more! It's F2P! There's no banning! *cackles in a maniacal way*

An IP is not a reliable way to identify a user. ISP's can hand you out a different one each time the current "lease" is up. That can be less than a day's time and you get a new IP. Also, users can spoof their IP's.

With the 80k only being for forum users, we are probably already at the 100k+ mark. Although once this games gets beta and really running i believe there will be alot of interest and enough cannon fodder for some real fun. They should have an opening day grand melee.!!!! Now that would be awesome 100k plus mechs with no real units just a last man standing. wow that would be awesome and terrifying at the same time.
