Well, a little lesson for USA citizens.

Canda is a country on the American continent, it's an independent nation with parliment and connections to English queen, I quess. They are Americans, yes, but being an American doesn't mean living in the USA, spamming forums about how superior you are...

In short, Mexicans are as Americans as you are.

In this particular case, the Capellan is right - "American" is not necessarily the same as "United States Citizen" (though, it is still fairly common to use them interchangeably).

That's not a name though, that's the short form of the title. There's no 'Canada,' 'England,' 'Russia,' name. It'd be like Canada referring to itself as 'the Provinces.'

While we're treading dangerously close to getting an official thread closed for violation of CoC, lol, I would go with just America, but yes, since we have still have issues with the federal government having complete control over the individual states, it sneaks out in small things like what you just described (such as having no unified name so to speak).

I voted for Awesomica, but it didn't stick for some reason...go figure.
