No worries. I'm just going from what I remember from reading the BT novels that took place on Solaris and the small bit of stuff on Sarna..

Every thing else I'm pulling out of my a$$.

Well, if you ever need a cannon name for something hit me up. My dad worked for FASA when i was a kid, so i've got three or four source books for Solaris.

Got any info on the games themselves? All I have (and I don't even have access to the book right now) is what was listed in the MW2nd edition rpg book. It was about a page long, and all it listed was that it was a 5000cbill entry fee, you played for pinkslips for the most part, and if you wanted to back out you had to pay the other guy 100K c-bills...

That's what I'm using for myself, for the other guys some of them want to do that, the others will have a purse of around 50K cbills but the looser keeps their mech.

Entry fees for each class are as follows for league regulated matches.

Zero (Nonregulation matches) (?) Cbills
One (exoskelton/industrial mech) 500 Cbills
Two (light mechs) 750 Cbills
Three (Medium mechs) 1000 Cbills
Four (heavy mechs) 1500 Cbills
Five (assault) 2000 Cbills
Open/Six 2000

Usually a stable pays for a pilots license, but an independent is looking at paying around an additional 9k for a class two license (light mech license), while a class six can run as high as 50k. In the smaller arenas outside Solaris City (specifically those in the reach) a license isn't usually required, unless its a league regulated match.

Purse size varries, but two well respected warriors in the major arena's will generate a purse of 42k (Solaris VII box set). Of which a stable will claim 15 percent off the top on average, leaving about 35.7k for repairs. Whats left after that is the Mechwarriors take (Solaris Box Set Gamemaster's Book)
Edit cause I goofed.

I could care what time it is. I just really want to see DeMarkus put the boot to this Min the Merciless tool.

I'm just waiting for when I'm in the right mood and have the time to sit down and be creative.

I keep laughing at the idea of a super aggressive pilot in a slow mech, trying to chase down a pilot in a faster mech who is deliberatly trying to annoy the agressor by playing cat and mouse with him.

All in all I have everything (for the most part) planned out, I'm just worried that I won't be able to type everything out like I'm seeing it in my head.

I'm thinking about breaking up the fight between D's POV and switching over to Kaylee in the sports book during the climax (hope that's the right word) of the fight.

Sounds legit man. I've already written my next move out, but i'm waiting for details from your fight..since i'm not part of the "main" story as of yet, i'm trying to stay grounded in the overall feel of the story by weaving as many details from yall's posts as i can.

He'll just let you 'abuse' him.

Then he'll turn around and depending on his mood, either forgive you and give you a warning, or simply stab you in the back and laugh psychotically.

... lol

Abruptly he became aware of eyes boring into the back of his head. Turning to look, he saw Heather sitting straight up, arms crossed glaring balefully at him as the sounds of Captain Zed reducing another Combine warrior to scrap and vapour played in the background.

Heather rolled her eyes in exasperation. "Captain Zed doesn't fight Combines! He leads a group of mutli...moult...people from lots of diffrent nations, including the Combine! Individually, they are weak, but together (under his leadership) they are much better off. The Snakes are just a group of bandits who are trying to take over the Inner Sphere cause of their beliefs and twisted honour, and their resemblance to members of the Draconis Combine is purely coincidence!"

(It's a bit like the way so many villains during the Cold War had Russian accents (and were probably Communists) but were never actually outright Russian, or if they were, they were 'rogue agents'. It's still propaganda, just on a subtler level.)

Aren't we upstairs? Shouldn't the garden be a patio?
*Shrugs*
I think it's safe to say Jack was too busy sulking to pay overmuch attention to the actual opponents. I also figure that he's just been watching a battle scene - so they probably have a faux-combine paint scheme too.
I'll have him abruptly notice that they're not combine later.

True that, I'll adjust.

Not to worry, just nit-picking on a bit of non-canon fictional fiction. :( That was part of the reason I had Heather call you out on it rather than myself - it's really not that important. Plus, writing for child-Heather is fun.

“DAD!” Heather shouted from inside, “There’s someone at the door!”

I'm figuring that's Lisa arriving with the shopping list. Rogue, you mentioned earlier that you had plans for this, so I've tried to lead into it while still letting you run the scene. If you want, though, I can write it.
