Well you'd have to stop by customs in the spaceport, that's where the majority of Erin's goons are compiling lists of names of mechwarriors. And considering mechwarriors with mechs are jumping to the top of the list, it's easy to see you getting an invite to come on down and check it out.

Izzy'll deal with customs in the morning - She needs rest from the long dropship ride.

That'll be my next post :)

Von Bremen could probably be convinced to show up with an attitude of 'We'll find something for you to do until it's fixed', especially if you don't mind sitting around the couple IC weeks until we start weighting up.

Totally. There's all kinds of ways to keep a mechwarrior busy. Training, tech work, sim-time.... Starting to draw blanks, it's been a long day.

I'm amazed you're still up.
Just got done reading your posts - nice job!
Only issue is I don't have Dan as that kind of casual - he's a bit more of a nervous guy. Could you change what he says to:

"Uh, hi, I need to talk to Von Bremen for Jack? Oh cra- Mr. Von Bremen, umm, Jack says' Dan contorted his face as he tried to remember Jack's exact words and mimic the accent, 'Two guards took a trip on patrol an' Jack's just realized our friend is maybe clean after a' an' ah'll be waitin' here.' Uhh, your friend and not mine I think. And he's there, not me. Umm."

Sorry, I just need him to be documented as more nervous when dealing with authority figures. He's that kind of casual with his friends, but not his boss' boss!

I'm kind of hoping we can start picking up the pace. Main problem seems to be no one ever wants to be the one to tick it over to the next day...I intend to no longer have that problem.

Post up. Hopefully that wasn't too terrible, but tbh, my hopes aren't up very high xD
Whole thing felt clunky. Probably should have waited and done it later, but I probably won't have time in the evening for a while.

I tired to.

Twice.

First time, Firefox switched pages.

Second, it wouldn't post, so copy/paste...and forgot Q_Q copy pasted something else.

It falls upon me then, as IKEA wizard and gentleman drunk to move this thread forward.

Give me some minutes!

This man speaks truth.

Btw, how do Erin's goons find you if they see you got a 'mech? ;)

Also, if anyone goes to the Cherry Babies during Izzy's shift then sees her at the 'Mech Stables one day, I forsee an awkward but funny encounter.

The good portion of her goons work the spaceport in the customs dept. I'm just using my trips to other countrys as an example, but I'm pretty sure you gotta declare a mech. And there would also be a manifest for any cargo moved, which I will admit can be falsified, but as far as my memory goes, nobody here has tried to do that. Though some of the characters have the means to.

Good post Jeremy, but could you please do me a favor and change the 'Streak missiles' to short ranged missiles? Streaks have not be rediscovered at this time...

Ah, I think I see the problem here.

The main article on Sarna addresses the Star League era STN-3L, which fits an Ultra AC/5 and a Streak SRM 2. The STN-3K is the downgraded Succession Wars era variant, which fits a regular AC/5, a regular SRM 2, and more ammo and armour. Or (with your post in mind) you could go with the STN-3KB, which is a field refit of the -3K that replaces the autocannon with (wait for it) a PPC and 3 heat sinks!

That was the variant I was looking out.

Throw out autocannon, put PPC.

And didn't know about Streaks Q_Q My BattleTech Lore knowledge is a bit lacking in some areas.

Just finished posting. Decided to try something different, and I hope it works well for you guys. To be clear, he's talking to Chaos, but I wanted it to seem open enough that it seemed like he was talking to the reader. Hope you enjoy.
