Well considering that there's six mechwarriors in the tea house [Bertie, Jack, Voss, Vulpes, CG, and D] I'm sure that sooner or later one of the PCs will say something that hints at it if not just straight giving it away. Hell you could even fluff up on conversation and say that one of us said something involving mechs or I can go and edit Kaylee's conversation and have her explain to the others that they have a long day of examining that Panther and Commando...

GM's advice.
Dylan feels Foxy lean into him suddenly. Suddenly the high powered crack of an all too familar rifle being shot breaks the silence. Dylan shruggs off the man and dives for cover behind a stack of armor plating. Looking around franctcily, Dylan sees a black clad figure retreating into the darkness of the night. upon the rooftop of the Stable's builiding just as the door guards bust out into the mechyard.

Chancing it, Dylan rushed to Foxy's side blood was spreading from the body, mingling with the various grease and coolant stains on the ferrocrete floor. The man's neck was slick with blood, but resting a hand in the mess you find a pulse but it it weak. Looking up at the guards you shout out a command "Get an amublance now!" and they jump at your order.

Something like that would be decent. Rainbow would once again be in the news, Erin would be p!ssed, but Rainbow would be obligated to pay the Dr. bills.
