I'm so tempted to get an UrbanMech, and weld two partial satellite dishes to its head and call it UrbanMouse.

What's bad, if after posting that I fired up mech-building software and designed it. It's an improved trashcan now.

There's nothing wrong with the UrbanMech that a rethink of the weapons load can't fix. Rip out the AC10, move the small laser to the left arm and add two medium lasers to the left, and two to the right. Add enough heatsinks to exceed maximum heat by one, and there's still enough tonnage left to max the armor, upgrade the engine by one level, and add a third jumpjet.

Pffft. AC-10 for the motherfrakking win. Never leave home without it. Unless I have a different AC.
AC is king is basically what I'm saying.

AC10 in an Urbie is an ammo explosion waiting to happen. Besides, having ripped it out I've actually increased the Urbie's lethality in all firing arcs. There's a reason the med. laser is the workhorse of the IS, and they're cheap and available. Cheap being the operative word in the context of this RP. Besides, it'll have mouse ears, so it's automatically "teh win".

Aaaaaaannnnd replied. Only took me an hour or so.
GMs, how should I play this fight?
Kevin, hopefully you don't mind the slight liberties I took with your character, I don't think it conflicted with what you said at all (Though you didn't mention the fighting!) but I can change anything you have a problem with without any major problems I think.

Wow I enjoy a needed weekend of vegging and the threads explode. I hope Thom reined you guys in a bit. I'll find out when I catch up with the RP thread.

Though who said a Warhammer could actually show up this early in the game? I do believe we limited everyone to lights and mediums for a reason... *glares disapprovingly at Wolf*

I'll be honest Sloth, if the GMs are happy to let me get my hands on a Long Tom and mount it on an Urbie, I'm willing

I have my reasons, will not be using the Warhammer any time soon. I am still using the Flea, as that is kind of suspicious showing up with a Star League era Warhammer.

EDIT: Gozer, Thom, just PMed you my reasons, if you want me to, I'll post them here.

*Scratches chin* Something tells me that some technophile Davion NAIS op is gonna have a new ride.... very soon. I've be way more comfortable (and happy) if the mech didn't show up at all.

A Warhammer is one thing *grumbles about munkinism and people trying to find loopholes* but a high tech 'Hammer is another.

Remember even at this time the Dragoons are slogging around with level one equipment, even if they have the super hightech stuff.

As for that Jenner....which weighs 35 tons. *facepalm* I added the weight of the weapons up and if it's only using one ton of ammo for the srm and ac's still comes out to 35 tons.

I love me some Jenner. TT, 4 med lasers and SRM4 was a ridiculous amount of firepower for such a small mech. Hell, it was standard in every game I played, and would love to see a Jenner make an apperance in Solaris 7

@ Spear, yeah I like it. I had a tank commaner even sing that in one of my old fanfics..

'Uncle Po' is a bit off though... But during this timeline he actuall has a stable mental condition. He's about to get famous in the CC for publishing a book entitled 'The Modern Tank in Attack: a revision on the writings of Eriwin Rommel.'

In a couple years time the book finds it's way into Davion hands, and they reprint it calling it '101 Dirty Capellan Tricks.'

Ummm... about the timeline, do you want me to just retcon my posts so that they come in under this timeline, because if not, I'm way ahead.

This is all new to me but I am having a hard time without concrete direction. Between that and not trying to manage other characters, I am really out of my element. Comments?

I've lost track somewhere what we're going to end up doing.
Are we doing Solaris Mech Gladiator fights in one of two 'stables'? Or we are eventually going to form into a merc band?

I must agree, I feel a bit unsure of what the direction is.

A statement from the GMs would be more than enough. :D
