I liked it. I was a bit confused on the amount of rounds you listed for your machinegun ammo, though. I would just list it as a rough guesstamite on how much weight was freed up. I have absoulutely no problem with any of you guys rolling with half tons or even quarter tons of MG ammo. I've lost many, many, mechs to mg ammo explosions, and I figure mechwarriors would be wary of the possibility and try to avoid them as much as possible. Same goes for SRM ammo, especially Streak SRM2's when they become available in this RP

'Cos I think the stock Flea has 2 MGs w/1tonne ammo and a flamer already installed. 'Course it also has...3.5? tonnes of armour and 2 medium and small lasers. So just wondering what one you're using/if it's custom. Personal curiousity is all

I'd been thinking is would be nice to get a post in describing what Heather's doing while Bertie is in the match, but didn't have the head space to work out what I wanted to do there. You've covered it nicely!

"Thom was halfway up the alley when he first heard the fighter pass overhead. A dull boom as the fighter went super sonic followed a few seconds later the scream as the fighter tore across the sky. Then quickly followed by the sounds of explosions and screams of the dying.
Turning he could see the glow of fire against the bricks of the walls and billowing black smoke soaring skyward over the rooftops. He turned and went back the way he just came. The scene that greeted him was nightmarish, bodies lay strew about the street like a angry childs playthings. The tank at the intersection had flames shooting out of the rent torn through its frontal armor, and it's crew ran about aflame, screaming for someone to put them out of their misery.
One of the hover pickups was cut in half, the two pieces on either side of the road twisted and broken. The other one lay halfway through the large glass windows of a candyshop.
There were survivors, armed men wondering about in the smoke and debris confused like they just woke up from a bender not knowing where they were.
Thom saw his chance and took it. With Nakjama in hand, he ran out of the alley heading for the candied hover pickup. Making his way the hundred feet or so to the truck, using what cover he could find, he passed by one half of the burning wreckage and blundered into a bandit. The man seemed dazed, but not quite confused.
"Hey, a-"
A jade green bolt from the pistol cut the man off. And Thom continued on his way.
Nearing his destination he could hear the truck idling a bit rough, but idling none the less. There was a man in the cab but he was slumped over with blood oozing from what remained of his face.
Checking his suroundings he noticed more men stumbling around, but none seemed to notice him. Clambering up the side he quickly checked the feed belt on the machinegun and seeing it intact, laughed and yanked back on the bolt racking a new round.
"YO A-HOLES, KARMA'S A B***H!!!
And with that the canvas tearing sound once again filled the air. More bodies crumpled and fell broken, sometimes cut in half."

Callsign: Cloak
Date of Birth/Age: March 4, 3000 /31
Current Mech: Wolverine WVR-6M2
Large Laser x1 RA
Medium Lasers x2 HD, CT
SRM-6 x1 LT
-SRM-6 Ammo x2 LT
House Affiliation: Marik
Military History: He is an experienced mechwarrior, though has had fairly few chances at open combat against other mechs due to the relative peace of the Free Worlds League.
Physical Description: Matthew most notable feature is his trademark grim expression. He possesses fair skin and the strong features that betray his Germanic descent. He has cold, piercing blue eyes that contrast with his dark brown hair which he keeps slicked back. He has a robust build, standing at six feet tall, and weighing in at 200 lbs, he is an imposing figure next to most people. On the battlefield he has a cool calculating presence and taking the fight to his enemies with ruthless efficiency.
Open Background: He was born on the planet Harmony to a relatively poor family. As a child, his father was killed during the Marik Civil War while working off-planet. Both to support his family and to have his revenge on anyone who would rebel against the Free Worlds League he began training as a mechwarrior. He continued serving in the League's military but never saw combat and so he eventually left the service to seek out new opportunities as a mercenary. To this end he traveled to Solaris VII knowing it had an active Mercenary hall as well as the games to participate in in the event there was no missions to be had.
Deep Background: His father was killed while helping rebels flee the onslaught of the enraged Wolf's Dragoons. One of the true reasons why Matthew joined the League military was to help regain his family's honor. He is horribly ashamed that someone might find out about his father's involvement in the rebellion and will attempt to hide this fact at all costs.

You just want him because he's had a checkered past with the Dragoons.

Simple, short, and sweet. Question, did you go AWOL with your Wolverine? Or is it a family mech?
Also I'm more comfortable with your character's father being killed by a member of the Gray Death Legion or some other unit. GW has made me sick of anything Dragoon. But otherwise... all good.

I originally thought he'd have saved up and bought it with his savings, but I'm not sure how possible that is. He'd probably have to have run off with it otherwise. As for the Wolf's Dragoon ties I'm not sure I can change them unless you don't mind breaking canon. They were the ones who pretty much ended the Marik Civil war and I'm not sure the GDL was even involved (they might have been, but they certainly weren't important enough to warrant much mention then). I also sorta idolize the GDL specifically and would rather place the blame on a different merc unit

I know that the GDL had something to do with the Marik Civil War *snickers* but that's during the events of 'The Price of Glory.' Not sure what year that was supposed to be in for the novel didn't have any time/place stamps. If memory serves they were victimized just to discredit the then Captain General. But I don't want to tinker with any of the canon, so consider yourself welcome to start posting. Oh and give GW a hard time for me

haha the Price of Glory is one of the three books I actually own. I more meant that they didn't really end the war itself, they just gave the inner sphere access to league technology. lol I fully intend to give GW a hard time though *eyes him suspiciously*
