Just let me know what I need to do with Mad Jack, whether I should have him talking to Kevin or Erin, or someone else entirely. If there's an official plan to work with let me know, otherwise I'll just make it up as I go along and see where the writing takes me.

Mr Kevin has been a bit ellusive, so I recommend talking to Ms. Erin. And due to some GM FIAT (pats self on back) Erin is not trusting Kevin too much at the moment.

Just be sure not to go overboard and Godmode her behaviour. She's schrewd, calculating, and ambitious... and she has no problem throwing people under the bus..

Remember she wants to build up a stable, make a champion, then have him killed.

Also @ Sparks We will be needing an inventory of all the weapons you have stashed away. Hate to be fascist, but don't want your dude to end up slinging med lasers out of the trunk of a hovercar...

Why does she want to kill him again? If it was mentioned, I have forgotten. If you're speaking for her, I'll write something up when I get the chance and sling it to you in a PM, and we'll hammer it out until we've finished the conversation.

Basicly the guys who got cut from the game due to inactivity may or may not have had some 'accidents.' She's paranoid enough to think that they have been killed by some professional. In which case she's thinking of who it could be, and Kevins dude being LOKI and someone that she has phucked over in the past, has the skill and motive to have killed all of them just to see her Rainbow Stables plan fail.

She doesn't want to kill him, she's just having him watched for now.

For Bertie's cache, I was figuring he had the following:

1 x BlazeFire large laser
3 x Intek medium laser
4 x Johnston MiniGun machine guns (no ammo)
4 x BlazeFire Tracker with RangeCheck targeting system
4 x CommuTech XL comms system
10 tons of ProtecTech 9 armor

Most of these parts are intended for the Goblin tank, with the exception of the medium lasers, which were bound for Transit aerospace fighters on Tikonov. In particular, the machine guns are built to be plugged into a vehicle and fire control system, so can't just be set up on a warehouse floor and used to gun down attacking goons, even if they had ammo. The targeting systems are also useless to him, as they're designed for a 45 ton vehicle, not a 50 ton mech, and therefore are incompatible.

The weapons and armour are worth about 340,000 c-bills new, and probably half that second hand. I haven't got values on the electronics, but a targeting system for a 45 ton mech is worth 90,000 new. Taking a ball park guess of a similar set of electronics for a vehicle being worth 2/3rd that (60,000), the whole cache is worth around 800,000 c-bills new, or 400,000 on the market. He's probably got some cash in the bank as well from his work as a merc.

He's also got some plans to swap the large laser and two of the mediums into the right arm if the PPC gets taken out and he can't find a replacement, but seeing as he's not much of an engineer, that's probably more of a last ditch attempt than anything.

As much as he could just sell the electronics for cash and bank it (rather than ship it all over the place), he is concerned about his accounts being frozen. Unloading half a million c-bills worth of military-grade hardware can draw attention, too, though less so on Solaris, where such things get sold all the time.

Sorry for my lack of posts guys. I've specifically made my character less "active" so that you guys can post around me. I'm fine with administrative GM'ing like going through the lists and such like I did. :P

Don't worry I'm still around (and I hope to have something up by the end of business today) just doing the work thing. ;)

No idea why. Or who it's supposed to be. I just threw that post out there about her wanting my dude just so we could all finally meet up. DeMarkus eventually becomes champ but it's not for awhile.

Well you all got my okay. (Part of the dynamic GM duo here) That goes for you too Sparks. Just be sure to include in your RPing that you have a container/sea train in storage (Solaris Mechspace perhaps?) and you could sell off some of that stuff in auction, you can find the cost for most stuff on Sarna.net. Not too sure about the communication and tracking systems though...

Oh and @ Sloth, a mech can drag twice it's weight if equpt with cables and whatnot... so your Panther could drag a Warhammer if needed.

that's useful to know, but ill pass off the struggle due to lack of equipment and the damage on the panther. Also i have no plan for the Clint pilot as it stands so if anyone wants to pick him up for a side story its up to them

If you're looking to take Old One Eye out, if you can wait a week iRL, Mad Jack will want to get back into shape with the Taysider, check nothing's too broken...Could RP us trying to outdo each other

It won't be too hard to outdo Demarkus. The SRM6 is a molten wreck, the SRM4 is loaded with inferno's and he's doing his damnest to not have anybody discover that. That and he has a minus 3 to PSR's and -1 to hit..

So I'm guessing that Mad Jack would see a shot up Commando with what he'd imagine is a rookie pilot...

It's mostly to calibrate the laser and him to get a feel for One-Eye... I imagine dropping from a 70 tonner to a 25 is gonna be different. That and he hasn't piloted a mech since '28. He's rusty, despite being a vet pilot.

I was more thinking have the pair of us being on the grounds at the same time, just checking our 'mechs work. I don't know what date it is, but Taysider got pretty torn up and so did Jack, I think it's only been about 2 weeks since then?
They'll both be battered and sore and still not running right. So, out just kind of idly watching each other, start some banter on the comms, maybe eventually slap on some training packs (Only seen them mentioned in the Suomi Warders FanFic, basically sensor kits mounted over the body and various low power lasers that register as different weapons and can do things like make a leg limp etc, but I assume they're canon?) and have a couple of training duels.
As for the tabletop rules...I don't have a clue how to play or what the stats are or any of that stuff. I just go with what seems plausible in my head and is something in character my guy would try for. Editted for realism, like shots missing, fumbling etc. Just off the top of my head as it were.
If we're to use rules and things, I'll need someone to teach me how to play :S

Yeah in the novels they do that during wargames and training... Basicly they dial down the laser's output to the point where they just shoot colored beams and the mech's targeting computers and sensors keep track of the hits, and they use dummy rounds for missiles. But we'd need the software for the computers to determine what kind of damage we'd be doing to each other.

As for the TT rules... I'm basicly using the piloting skill modifiers for a damaged gyro, even though the gyro is repaired (kinda/sorta) He's getting a -1 for that then a -1 for the headshot, using the rules for a small cockpit there. And the final -1 is for both piloting and gunnery for him being unfamilar with the mech and being specialized in heavy mechs.

I thought there were actual kits we could attach? Either way, if it's feasible I'd be up for it if you are.

I don't have a clue what kind of rules Jack would be using, never mind the modifiers. Will I need to commit to learning the rules, rolling up a character etc, or am I good to continue as I have so far?

So far so good... Why change? I'm up for our guys meeting up. I forsee a bunch of trash talking if nothing else.

I don't remember there being kits that were attached to the mechs, just software programs being used. And that's at a later time.. But I'm sure we could scrounge up some kits, but that would have to wait. I imagining that both our guys are hurting for $$$

I'm just keeping the rules for my own guy. In a fanfic I posted on BTU, I actually rolled out the fights per TT it took forever and well my lousy dice rolling skills were evedent there as well as when I do play TT. (I miss doing that BTW, all my BT stuff is in Cali.) :)

I rolled out four mechs and two tanks ambushing a warhammer (who was totally unaware of the badguys) and the only thing that actually hit his mech was a couple of SRMs from a Commando.
