1: Bare-bone Mechs. I'd like to be able to purchase my mech, one piece at a time. Being forced to purchase a mech with a mediocre engine and below average weapons is quite a hassle, and a sink for all my hard-earned C-bills.
2: The cost of repairs is too damn high! Without Premium and/or a Wang, It's always going to be an uphill battle. If you don't win, you will probably be losing money(depending on how dead you were). If you do win, you'll manage to get at most 50k, which is less than using a trial mech. Repairs should be cut down to at least 1/3rd of what it is now.
3. General clunkiness of the UI. If I want to play with a friend, I have to: go to group, create group, click OK, go to friends, right click friend, click invite to group, wait for both to ready up, click group options, then launch group. That is way too many steps. I should just be able to click on the name and add to group. Also, when in a group, there should still be a launch button next to the ready/not ready button. Not to mention how cluttered and difficult it is to use the chat(Yes, there's a chat. Took me a few weeks to find that out).
That's about all i can gripe aboutfor now. Anyways, tell me what you think about this game and/or my suggestions. Thanks!

I'm all for a UI change, eventually. I think I'd rather have a chat function before a GUI, though. I know this is still beta, but that's why they'd like our feedback. I really like the idea of pinging for help as long as it isn't abusable/spammable.

I'm a little mixed about this. On one hand, you'd have people making specific boats, and this would essentially force a metagame. On the other hand, this is pretty much already being done, so I wouldn't see too much of a difference. I'd just hate to see people exploiting this game so quickly.

Like the Idea, it would be nice to buy a bare bones mech, Particularly if it told you where the hard points are on the mech.

I made about 5 million Cbills last night playing for just a few hours. 50% of the profits were for non-premium non-founder points. I had multiple games with less than 5k in repair costs. I had a few with 70k in repair costs. A big part of this is what weapons and equipment you have on your Mech. If you running a lot of LRMs or other ammunition heavy weapons it should cost significantly more to replace it. Also if you get shot up bad with expensive equipment on your mech that should cost more, it does. I do not think repairs are to much but I do think victory pay outs are low. Winning should make a bigger difference in how much you get.
I want more carrot not more stick to solve this.

I too find the extra steps annoying. I should be able to right click first person and choose add to group, right click second budy and choose add to group. The system should then create the group (on first person) and send the invite to that person when I select them, and then send invites to additional people without me ever having to leave the friends screen.
I also have no official role with the game, but I appriciate you and anyone who attempts to make the game better. I love it now, but there is always room for improvement.

Actually, I really like this idea. Getting the same amount for killing someone as you do spotting doesn't make sense. Killing should grant someone around 10-25k(maybe more, just shooting ideas), and assists be a percentage of damage done. right now, you could make twice as much from just spotting and hitting everyone once(assuming they died) than you would killing the entire team.
My favorite part about this is that it wouldn't reward people who didn't do anything. that guy that runs into five people, gets a few spots/assists, and quickly dies doesn't help the team at all.
EDIT: Is there any way to move this to the suggestions forum? the was made before it existed, and I don't want to lose the poll numbers and the great replies so far.

Alright, here's what I have so far:
- For the option of having a Bare-boned Mech, 75.5% of people are for the idea.
- For lowering repair costs, 60% would like it to be less. Of those people, 74% said it should be reduced to 75% of the repair costs.
- For the current UI, a whopping 91.8% said they are unsatisfied with the current UI.

I pretty much agree on this. While the difference in winning/lossing is only 25k, what astonishes me is that you get the same amount for doing miniscule actions(spotting, 1 point of damage assist) than you do major ones (actually killing, or doing 99% of the damage). Players should be rewarded more for game changing plays.

Before the wipe, I had saved up everything I hadfor the Dragon-5N, because it had 3 Ballistic slots (the most at the time, and I thought ACs were cool). Shortly after I bought it, I found out that all three slots were on the same arm(and it couldn't even fit an AC/20). Knowing where the hardpoints are makes the decision making much easier, especially when making the first step to your first mech.

While spotting helps show where an enemy is, you are limited to say how many. Adding a ping or a marker to the map would greatly help teammates know where the enemy is coming from.
