He brought a ton of charm to MW4 Mercs' Solaris, and I'd love to hear him somewhere in the new one. Pretty much wouldn't even matter where.

My dream: I sit in my 'Mech's cockpit. I start my power-up sequence. With a smell of leather and cigars, I hear a silken voice stream from my speakers...."Reactor Online. Sensors Online. Weapons Online. All Systems Nominal." Thank you Duncan.

Alternatively they could have him do background voices, in-universe ads, things like that. He did a bunch of work for MWLL for free, so maybe a real paycheck will attract him.

I will say that he sounded bored doing work for Living Legends. Just didn't have the... pazzaz and enjoyment as his MW4 Mercs outing.

If Piranha is willing to add more gameplay modes, you can bet that one of them is going to be Solaris 7, seeing as how so many people love it and virtually no-one hates it. And if you're going to do that and hire a commentator, you might as well bring back the person everyone loves too.

You know, given that MWO will (hopefully) last longer than a few months, and always receive new content every once in a while, there are so many chances for almost everyone who's voiced an enjoyable character in BattleTech to come back and do work on this!

And yes. DO WANT DUNCAN FISHER

People actually liked that guy? I always thought the Solaris voice was as bland as the rest of the game,

Yay for Duncan.
He even spoke one of the lines I suggested for MW:LL. :)

"See folks, this is why you don't bring a scout to a solaris match"

Made me feel like I got a personal autograph from my favorite celeb.

But yeah, I kinda can't picture a solaris match without that voice in the background.

This would actually have been before Ducan Fisher's time... or, at the very least, during the time when he was a Jockey. I love the voice, but frankly, it doesn't make a lot of sense for him to do it as the same guy.

You're right.

So it'll be DUNCAN FISHER'S DADDY, Hermann Fisher! Whose son sounds and speaks exactly like him!

And we'll get commentary about how his son is doing too. Heck, why not make Duncan an NPC pilot in the Solaris matches, often using any mech with an AC/5?

I can see Hermann counseling his son now...
"Only a pansy would use a PPC Dunc. Real men use weapons that do as much damage as a Medium Laser but weigh 8 times as much and can explode!"
It would be amazing.

But Daddy, he says, there's more to life than big damage! Frankly, it's like my son speaks another language.
I mean, the weapons make sense individually, but put them together and it's complete nonsense.

Yeah, he really did great effort into the Solaris voice and he was surprised by all the fandom he received upon it. He didn't play the game for himself, though.

During my times as a Radio DJ at Mechwarrior Leagues I happened to meet him on VOIP one or two times and he gladly recorded some sounders for me to play in the radio shows. He was also active in the forums over there.

An example: Team Battle Death Match at Mechwarrior Leagues

Sound qualitiy is mediocre, that fight took place over six years ago.

Here's another one with a longer text by Duncan. You may skip the first minute where I'm reading all the former Solaris Champions.

Solaris Grand Championships Finals Season 4

Commentary voices are mine (German) and from GreenEyed, a spanish mech warrior. You'll identify him be his voice for sure :)

I think George liked the fact a German was featuring radio shows on an American League, on the other hand he provided all of them radio moderators with sounders.

Way to go, George!

Í realy liked him and his voice was one of the things that made me play through on Solaris.

Yeah, he has officially become the Voice of Mechwarrior.
Especially, since he was nice enough to work with the MWLL Devs and spoke lines for the solaris arena mode!

If you're looking for good paid DLC ideas for your free to play model, I know I would be will to pay up to $10 for George to do voice tracks as Duncan Fisher, if you don't feel like he's right for the "out of box" version.

"I thought the other pilots were going to start throwing rocks and harsh language at the Merc Man. Weapons fire certainly doesn't seem to do anything"- hehe okay it's a paraphrase.

I spent hours and hours playing the MW Solaris matches every which way you could just to hear all the commentary.I won the Championship right off once and then played 3 rounds per class of exhibition matches just because Solaris was that much fun, and a large part of why it was that much fun is George Ledoux's wonderful character.

Count me on board and willing to cough up cash if Duncan FIsher can be a part of the MWO experience. Heck my dream gig would be to call a game with him in the booth, assuming he didn't "Kapow" me right out of there for being a poser.

Duncan Fisher and the Fafnir are the only things I remember about MW4:Mercs that set it apart from MW4:Vengeance/Black Knight

I would like him to come back in some form or another, either being an NPC Pilot or a starting announcer, either would be great =)
