It says solo players welcome but all I'm seeing are clans and groups posting. Lone Wolf based teams are going to be pub stomped even with these rules in place.

What kind of team management if any is going to be happening to ensure Lone Wolves have half a chance?

Teams will be picked at random so even if a clan does join they won't necessarily be in the same team. The idea is to get everyone mixed in together.

I'd like to join as solo player if there can be some form of PUG VS PUG match arranged. If its going to be PUG VS Premade then maybe not. Thanks either way though.

I am very pleased to see this kind of event happen for the following reasons:
1) Trial mechs are a necessary evil for a viable business model. That being said, that doesn't mean the concept cannot be improved. Personally, I would like to see a greater selection of base variant/prototype mechs, but that may not be feasible at this point (or ever). Instead events of this nature add some "zazz" to trial mechs.
2) With standardized mech loadouts/hardpoints/weaknesses and some form of match rules, piloting and gunnery skill are more important than MC or C-bill count.
