Hrmm... I think that'll be fine. We can assume that Murdoc was at the briefing? Up to you how you'd like to introduce your character.
@Others:
I'll probably have a more robust post tomorrow or so, so I can move us into the actual mission "soon". Also, I am typically not around a computer during the weekends, so my posting then will be probably sparse.

Don't worry though - his annoying cowardly, know-it-all remarks will be channeled through the GM as he will be an NPC giving you guys intel updates from the Dropship's tactical operations center.

The warehouse I'm at, recieved a bunch of pallets that weren't good. The Starbucks f**ks working there said that they were good, but I found mold on a bunch of them. It turned out that over half of them were moldy. My lead told me later that the last time that happened it cost them around 2.8 mil...
They (Starbucks) are now suing the company that made the pallets..
I did get some high fives and pats on the back, but I'd prefur some cold hard cash.... or atleast a happy meal.

Born on Robinson, Ben was raised with the memory of Kentares IV and an awareness that safety could only be earned through force. Like most Draconis March citizens, the name Kurita was one that Ben reviled--a name attached to butchery, fanaticism, and the very worst of human tendencies. Unlike some of his peers, Ben didn't actively hate the Combine, but he wasn't particularly broken up about his positive kill record in combat with them, either. Still, four years with the Rangers flying active combat duty had been cathartic enough to get any lingering animosity out of his system.
As part of his education, Ben had spent a year at the Nagelring. It was that experience which led to his call sign of "Viking," as his old Robinson buddies siezed upon his time abroad as a source of good-natured ribbing upon his return from snowy Tharkad. Ben had used his time at the Nagelring to good effect--his limited time spent in Lyran Mechwarrior training (the instructors were incredulous that anyone would want to fly in a "puny plane" if given the chance at a Zeus) confirmed his suspicions--that mechs were little more than slow-moving targets for a clever fighter jockey, especially when combined with typical mechwarrior arrogance. Lyran aerofighter training, with their focus on mech support and ground attack, allowed Ben to log substantial time with the Chippewa, a heavy fighter whose size masked a surprising capacity for maneuverability--Ben found himself often drawing on his sim experience with the Ancient Terran P-38: a plane with a massive nose armament that excelled at high-speed attack runs but could also turn-and-burn like hell by dropping flaps and using its massive wingspan to advantage. It wasn't quite as versatile as a Stuka, or as nimble as a Corsair, but it could withstand a beating and keep on chugging, and its collapsible wings and ease of repair made it well-suited for mobile/dropship operations.
Back on Robinson, Ben finished near the top of his class. Assigned to the Robinson Rangers, Ben spent thirteen months in a Corsair. During that time, Ben picked up a confirmed kill of an unwary Kurita Slayer, and took up drinking as his graduating class endured the roughly 30% attrition rate of new pilots in combat. The remaining thirty-five months were spent in the cockpit of a Stuka, where Ben added two light mechs and a Shilone to his plane's fuselage. But it was his lucky, non-lethal shot on the leg joint of a Kuritan Atlas that led his flight leader to christen Ben's Stuka as the "Giant Feller"--a typically sardonic play on words given Ben's 5'8" stature.
After leaving the Rangers, Ben again drew on his Nagelring experience to purchase a second-hand Chippewa from a less-than-scrupulous Lyran classmate--with some help from a few of Ben's more well-off Donegal relatives. It had been a good investment--over the past three years, Ben and his "Giant Feller II" had easily paid back his cousins. Ben had even managed to set aside a tidy nest egg.
While mechwarriors hated to admit it, the truth was that a good pilot was always in demand. With four kills and fifty combat sortees to his name, Ben was good at his job.
