So I thought a fun exercise for this community's artists would be to design original Mechs which fit a different weekly theme. No contest, just a chance to stretch together and see each other's interpretation of the given challenge.
The rules of the thread are simple:
The Mech should fit in with the theme, or be related in some way through either the visual design or the employment on the battlefield.
The Mech should be something you draw specifically for the challenge, not something you already had lying around.
Art can be 2D, 3D, in any medium you prefer. They can be rough sketches, vector line art, full color, what have you. ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME!!!
WIP shots are allowed, but please keep the thread clean and only poster another WIP if you have made significant progress.
When you are finished post the finished picture in this thread along with a short description of your Mech and the loadout on the primary variant. Please do not post descriptions until you have artwork to pair it with.
First week's theme: A Knight in Shining Armor. Your Mech must be related in some way to a medieval armored warrior.

To start things off, here's a work-in-progress for my mech, the Gorget.
It's an 85 ton long-range assault mech designed to patrol and defend multiple points of interest over a large area.

Does it have to be a new image? Because I did this one some time ago. Fits the theme perfectly!

Sounds interesting. Well, I have been requested to do a clean sheet re-design of the Champion for MechCommander: Omnitech, so since I am just putting that to paper now, when I get it up, I can kill 2 birds with one stone. Not my first choice of chassis for it, but what the heck, what the hey.

As much as I want to say no, damned if that doesn't fit the bill.
Anyway, here's my finished Gorget
Primary Variant:
2 AC5 in the Right arm
2 LRM 10 in the left/right torso
2 Large Lasers in the left arm
2 Medium lasers in the right torso.

So I'm a little late to the party, but I finally did get a chance to get this work uploaded. Without further (very belated) ado, I present the Tourney:
I used mid and late-middle Ages French Jousting armor as an inspiration for the head, and then sort of went from there. The right arm shooting is supposed to invoke the shape of a lance, but only one of three people I showed this to got that. The small lance-side shield seemed an ideal place for a missile pod. Tell me what you think!

Well, since you allowed Hana to use an older design, I feel I have the perfect one for the criteria.....
the Knights Templar
A significantly upgraded Black Knight, mounting TSM and a battle axe.
