Even if someone does try to bait you into a flame war of sorts you don't have to be the one that gets sucked into it.

I dunno why you have this image that all goons must be 13 year old children, we're actually a pretty largish forum on the internet and therefore a very diverse group of people from various nations and walks of life discussing a wide variety of topics. We even have a subforum dedicated entirely to military personnel currently serving in the armed forces! (Goons In Platoons) I assume most of them aren't posting here because they don't think that military service is very applicable to an internet gundam shooting game, I have to say I agree with them.

That said that was a mega rude and uncalled for attack on my intelligence, I'm a pretty big fan of zombie newspaper comics.

Edit: Whoa apparently Mort Walker is still drawing B.B. so it doesn't classify as a zombie strip. Learning things in the Federated Suns, who would have thought it was possible?

I didnt say the goons, i was referring to you specifically actually.

Actually I would bet alot of them are not posting because they realize I wasnt saying it makes me uniquely qualified to play mechwarrior, but that he had no right to bring my courage into question, im sure all of them will agree with that. What I referred to was that anyone who has led in combat knows what it takes to lead anywhere.

what makes me uniquely qualified to play mechwarrior is the fact that I love the game, like all the rest of the battletech community. Once again, I believe the sooner the goons exit the community, the sooner the community can proceed with cleaning itself from any residual filth that is left over.

I don't need to validate myself to some nerd on an internet forum. "Seeing combat" doesn't imply courage anyway. Quit trying to act cool and super brave cause you've been to a foreign country and possibly even had guns shot at you. I've seen 18 year olds with the same qualifications, and a whole lot of them have been dumb and cowardly. And like Vandal said, we have an entire subforum full of people who've seen more **** than you but they're not gonna pull out the vet card to yell about their robot courage.

Kumquat, you keep dodging the question : What did you do in the Army again?
And judging by your reference to combat not implying courage, makes me question that you saw any what-so-ever? Sure some guys freeze up. But the guys that see it repeatedly, day after day certainly have quite a bit of courage. Those who freeze up or dont contribute dont see combat again, because you cant have them if they are not going to contribute when lives are on the line, I would expect you to know that if you were in the Army.

Once again, what did you do in the Army? or will you dodge the question again?

Yes I know quite a bit about cleaning. All E1 thru E4's know about cleaning, its part of military culture.
