The economy sucks, infantry life sucks, after getting discharged you probably will have to fight hard to get your benefits and unless you go to school you will be thrown out into the world without any real marketable skills, so the most you can hope for is to catch a lucky gig as a day manager at a restaurant franchise.

Alot of the smart infantrymen re-class once they realize this, to get more marketable skills. It is a sad reality that veterans dont get more respect for what they did and continue to do....
