So how do all these PUG players run into more Premade teams than Premade teams run into other premade teams?
I just don't see it.

Remember, the current matchmaker matches teams based on weight class, for example, 2 lights, 2 mediums, 2 heavies, and 2 assaults. Unless your team is made up of the same number of each weight class, you will never meet up with that other premade.

I suggest finding a setup or two that all premades can agree on. That way you will be more likely to meet up with another premade.

A very accurate and well thought out post. My experiences are very similar to this. It probably wouldn't be so bad with the actual premades if they weren't so rude to other players... but the internet is the internet, and morons are still morons.

Yeh but the iceing on the cake is when you get a pug of vets, and wax a premade after they are rude. It just makes the win sweater.
One of the issues with disconnects is that not everyone has a medium, or high end system so their processor, ram, and/or video card may not be up to handling the game like yours.
Another reason is of course connection issues I don't know if they are having them so this is another factor to consider.
A third reason could be (The Dreaded) RL, haven't you ever been interupted while playing, its aggravating to me but it happens.
Finally some of these guys, and girls are kids, and when mom, or dad says stop playing and take out the garbage now you just lost one of your team mates.
These issues are not something that is unique to MWO, but occur in any online game you may play.

Another inherent factor with lopsided losses is that once you start losing members, the enemy has less targets to focus on and your side has less mechs to damage the enemy - this will lead to a death spiral. It will require quite some tactical thinking and a lot of maneuvering to compensate for this. Base Capping can turn such situations around, for example.

The odds are actually 4096:1.
