Rock all the way. Hell, it's not called Heavy Metal for nothing!

You do need to remember one thing though, seriously... and that is that the average age of the more hardcore battletech/mechwarrior gamer is old enough to prefer rock over more modern styles of music...

I like all types of music, I listen to heavy metal just as much as techno stuff, matter of fact atm I have more metal CDs in my car than techno. Dubstep and video games go better together though IMO. But I don't care what they change it to, just not the crap rock they got on right now.... its just.. bad.

I'm ok with whatever they choose though.
If I don't like it I can just pop in a cassette and listen to that.

On a personal note, dubstep is garbage. They make a living pressing stop and play on their mac books ffs.
Don't take it too seriously, just my opinion.

Just so you know most dubstep artists have alot more musical education than rock guys. Most are music school graduates (the successful ones) or started in other musical fields. My favorite dubstep group (Nero) are comprised of two Musical University graduates, one plays classical guitar, and the other plays the cello. Also, Skrillex (most known US artist) started off in a rock band. You don't have to like dubstep, just don't talk about something you don't really have a clue about, you just sound dumb.

Then why on earth would they waste all that talent. Probably for the $$. Like I said before, and you left out, just my opinion, dont take it too seriously. Obviously you missed that part.

A bit of metal would be nice, maybe just some straight instrumental stuff, hell even some of the old classics could work (can;t go wrong with Wagner).

Why not just have a play list that has music that caters for all.

It's not so much about not liking dubstep for me as much as actually making me uncomfortable enough that I have to mute videos.
Personally I just have whatever I happen to be listening to at the time when I'm playing on my videos. And considering how eclectic my playlist is, I think it sorta works out. I'm not a fan of rock music as background music, but I'm not sure how people feel about chiptunes...
Edit: Now that I think about it, I do have a complextro track playing in my very first video, close enough?

War music = Lots of drums and horns with some strings! Then suddenly random guitar solo ala Mechwarrior 4! Yeeeeaaah!!
