PGI, can we have a status update on the new UI?

A while back PGI spoke of an upcoming overhaul of the UI. With the opening of Beta to the public, we've been finding a lot more users band their heads against the wall that is the current UI design.
Being a bit of a stickler with easy-to-consume UI's, I'm rather interested in knowing if PGI has an estimate on when a UI overhaul was coming that would provide key benefits in the consumption of functionality as well as less penalizing of user actions.
I'm sure PGI more than has their plate full, and that they are aware that the current design is rather inhibiting. I'd love to see the design early to provide feedback if possible.

Although I don't think the DPS and HPS parts are needed whatsoever.

Nice post Krivvan.
Sadly, it seems like PGI is taking the approach to make minor changes to the UI rather than the sorely needed sweeping change.
I've been in Beta for months, and even to this date, I've come across multiple times where I'm just lost. I want to get somewhere and I'm ferverently looking for the button or the logic needed to realize what needs to be done.
It's a daunting task to organize so much information that MW is known for into consumable nuggets of functionality; but I hope this isn't the UI overhaul they were hinting at.

A much larger 2.0 overhaul is coming in January/February. I know it sounds like a long time, however we still have some basic elements that are coming online in Novemeber, then we'll switch gears and make wholesale improvements for launch.

Can you add/update the Upcoming Features/Content threads so we can see them, and perhaps add that to your wonderful drool worthy list?

Aegis, really like the "Makers Mech" signature, fancy.
Any chance the update will include a less GPU heavy cool down mode? My video card heats up in the 155-160 F range when the GUI has focus.

Thanks Bryan. If you guys are like any other company that uses standardized versioning, going from a 1.x to a 2.x can be completely different. It doesn't sound that far away. 2-3 months. If done well, it'll be well worth the time. Thank you very much for addressing the concern. I look forward to that goodness.
