I see a lot of rage about pugs especially since open beta. I'm 100 games in and almost literally 50/50 I know to some elitists this might sound like a bad score. To me it's the perfect score. I never know what's gonna happen and I always do my best whatever happens. Lately i started taking command of the group and giving basic orders like defend E5 and marking it on the map. It works surprisingly well !!!

One thing I realise is EVERYONE IS WAITING FOR A PLAN... Except suicidal jenners and such but oh well... Don't be affraid if your an experienced player in a pug team to take command (open your map it's right there, upper left corner, for you to take and be a commander.) Don't forget PUGS don't necessarily means NOOBS. And even as a noob i was following the ''orders'' on the map BE VOCAL ON THE CHAT TOO.

The odds of facing a 7 or 8 team premade have gone way down since open beta. It's not bad pugging right now. Hope the stage 1 of MM will just make it better !

That's good advice. I played the hell out of MW4 and was pretty wicked in my Daishi, but this is a whole new ball game. In about two hours of game play I've managed to take down one dude, while I've died just about every match, or my team mates win for me.

I'm not complaining, this is exactly the kind of game I wanted and have been waiting for. I'm just struggling with the learning curve. Coordination---inside your mech and with your team mates---is crucial, and that's something I think everyone is figuring out. I'm not sure what PUG means, but at this point I'd definitely be open to taking commands from someone, just as long as I'm surviving.

It would be so much easier if it was possible to use the map while waiting for the game to start. As it is you only have about 30 seconds to communicate before the game is basically over.

Then there's the issue of giving a command for a sqaure that everyone can't see on the mini-map, I'm sure most players don't even open B-map yet. So they'll never see a commanders directive.

OT, how is it possible to even tell who's in a premade or not? I haven't seen anything in the game that actually denotes who's in a squad or whatever.

The best thing to do is Chat in preload and as the game starts. Once contact is made a teams fate is usually sealed for better or worse.

Pug mean unorganized group if your playing alone you have a chance to face a premade team of 8 peoples sometimes overly competitive in my opinion.Sometimes it's just 8 random people on team speak. Just interested in the team work and communication. But they usually win 8-0 or 8-1 versus a group of PUG.

I agree with you but like i said PUG does'nt mean noobs.. You won't win every time of course. And sometimes it's all going to hell in these time i just try to help a group of people in my team the bigger the better 2 or 3 people on the same target sometime they will just split after... But anyway i'm not looking for perfection just not getting smashed every game.

I hear House Steiner makes you a General with a win ratio that high. :D

Just messin with ya cuz mines probly worse after last night. Pugs generally equal out Pugs if u play them enough, then factor in the premades and most people will be under 50%. No worries mate.

Ohh my.. Thanks for the info... I think. I'm sitting around 33% WR and 1/2 kill per death. I guess that is A start.

So, how can you tell who's on a team or not in game? (I don't mean which side, I mean premade squad)

With time you recognize the pattern. Losing 8-0 is a good pointer but not fatally a premade. Skies painted with LRM is a good sign too. But if you are looking for a distinctive sign there is'nt... usually good strategies has a premade behind. 8 people running to the base at the same time with no one playing hero. Your teammates dying in a matter of seconds because of focus fire... things like that. But again you might be matched with an excellent PUG.Rare though

That's what I thought. I see people starting to give stats for pug vs. premade, and I was like, but they can't REALLY know, they just suspect.

You're right I can tell my personal experience and stats AS a PUG but i can't be sure when i'm facing premade... Altough sometimes it's just obvious. Only people who can tell stats is PGI.

Taking command and giving some basic orders really does help a lot. A lot of pugs are willing to follow things you say because, although it's hard to believe sometimes, they do just want to win games too, and they know that if everyone on their team is following those orders there's going to be a higher chance of winning so they might as well also.

The main thing to remember is that even if it's a full pug team, you're still going to have a lot higher chance of winning if everyone is at least on the same page, EVEN if it's a wrong tactic or something, because you're still more coordinated than no one saying anything and your whole team doing whatever across the map and dying with no objective.

One way to tell if you're facing a premade is this: if all 8 players propagate almost simultaneously on the opposing board and your side is still searching for players. . . the other guys are very likely pre-made.

The other way to tell is if they just roll over the top of you using coordinated attacks, flanking maneuvers, and key terrain. But by then it's too late.

It's a team game, guys and girls. Get on a team. Start your own team. Go to the unofficial TeamSpeak server and make friends; there's even a channel for those of you who need to learn. This is not MW4, and this is not COD. You can't win alone. You just can't.

This forums sounds like army is recruiting can't we just play the way we want ?

another way to know a premade is they lost all sense of fun and they believe it's a real warfield.
